We are hiring a Lead Manufacturing Associate! This position is for a Lead in the Repligen Injection Molding and Packaging manufacturing group. The lead will be responsible for the safe manufacture of product, including ensuring maintenance issues are addressed in a timely manner, mold and tool evaluation, proper production of all parts manufactured, and holding your teams accountable for production and attendance. This person will be responsible for leading the day-to-day activities of the manufacturing team. In addition, this role will be required to assign, track, lead, and plan orders to completion to the production schedule. The leads should also be able to answer questions asked by upper management regarding any current production job on the floor and come to all production meetings fully prepared, and ready to engage the team.

This position is on 1st shift: 6am-2:30pm, Monday - Friday.

Responsibilities

  • Position provides leadership, guidance, and direction to staff in alignment with injection molding and packaging requirements.
  • Responsible for troubleshooting injection molding machines.
  • Ability to start up and shut down injection molding machines.
  • Responsible for effective utilization and tracking of materials.
  • Will be involved in identifying root causes of production issues and help in resolving them.
  • Ensure staff had adequate training in department manufacturing processes.
  • Ensure staff is trained in tooling care and storage.
  • Proactively identifies areas for continuous improvement and drives those into the process.
  • Compliance with all aspects of Repligen’s Quality Management system and Quality Policy.
  • Ability to train all team members in all aspects of product manufacturing within the department.
  • Follow and uphold any new and or changed company policies.
  • Ability to hold team members accountable for safety violations, poor production, or other issues that disrupt production.
  • Review and approve vacation requests and timecards submitted by employees.
  • Complete annual reviews for your team members.
  • Understanding of level I, II, and III parts and production requirements.
  • Ability to learn SAP, Microsoft Excel and Word.

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

  • Requires a High School Diploma with 3+ years experience in a manufacturing environment or an Associate’s degree desired with prior experience.
  • Experience work in a cleanroom environment is desired.
  • Prior management or lead based experience required.
  • Experience with plastic injection molding, packaging, or similar manufacturing experience.
  • Proven time management skills
  • Experience in continuous improvement/Lean manufacturing.
  • Ability to read drawings, and use measuring equipment such as calipers, and rulers.
  • Must have flexibility in hours worked to help cover shifts as needed.
  • Computer skills such as Microsoft Excel, Word, Project, and PowerPoint are desired.
  • Works well in a team environment

Physical Requirements:

  • Able to stand long hours
  • Ability to do repetitive processes
  • Able to lift up to 30 lbs
  • Ability to move throughout the facility to complete assigned work.

The estimated hourly range for this role, based in the United States of America is $22.80-31.00. Compensation decisions are dependent on several factors including, but not limited to an individual's qualifications, location, internal equity, and alignment with market data. Additionally, employees are eligible to participate in one of our variable cash programs (bonus or commission) and eligible roles may receive equity as part of the compensation package.
