MISSION
The City University of New York’s Office of Careers and Industry Partnerships (OCIP) is dedicated to the mission of connecting academic pursuits with career competitiveness. OCIP works closely with industry to understand the skills required for the most in-demand jobs and trains CUNY students in those skills to prepare them for early and sustained career success.
GENERAL DESCRIPTION
Reporting to the Director of Non-Traditional Internships, the Senior Program Manager will be responsible for the design, development, and management of the Internship to Employment (I2E) program serving graduating seniors and recent alumni. Working with small businesses in New York City, funders and students, I2E focuses on providing internship opportunities with the goal of converting the internship to employment.
The ideal candidate will have strong workforce development background, communication skills, both written and verbal, a customer service mindset, planning and project management skills, an ability to meet deadlines, and the capacity to think creatively to help all stakeholders achieve their goals. The candidate may also have responsibilities that include managing staff to support program operations.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Program Management
· Lead the continued development, recruitment, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of I2E’s operations and policies.
· Collaborate with CUNY leadership to develop and execute an employer recruitment strategy.
· Interface with students, employer partners, industry intermediaries, CUNY and RF CUNY staff to provide excellent customer service to all project stakeholders.
· Coordinate intern hiring and termination processes in partnership with the appropriate internal and external stakeholders.
· Coordinate and execute professional development for interns, including working with employers to offer development.
· Manage and coordinate the payroll, sub-contracting, and invoicing process for student interns and employer partners in partnership with stakeholders, including Office of Academic Affairs Personnel and Budget teams, and OCIP Budget and Operations team.
· Perform program analysis including data centric quarterly (and ad-hoc) reports.
· Develop and implement surveys for stakeholders to continuously gather feedback on programming and post internship activities.
Communication and Partnerships
· Develop and deploy communications and marketing materials, including managing program website, designed to facilitate industry recruitment, and onboarding.
· Engage business owners and intermediaries to promote and provide internship opportunities to CUNY students and recent graduates.
· Develop and host recruiting events for employers, interns and other stakeholders.
· Gather feedback from employer partners and students on internship and employment experiences.
· Draft annual report for funders on program performance and spending.
Other
· Attend staff meetings and training as required.
· Perform special projects and other duties as assigned.

Pay Range:
Minimum - Maximum: $70,000 - $75,000
