We’re seeking a motivated and dependable Laborer to join our hardworking team! If you enjoy working outdoors, thrive in a hands-on role, and take pride in delivering high-quality results, this is the job for you. As a Construction Laborer, you’ll be an integral part of our projects, helping with a variety of tasks including site preparation, landscaping, and general labor, on active restoration sites across your region. That may include wetlands, streambanks, prairies, or stormwater facilities. You’ll work alongside a skilled crew, contributing to projects that make a tangible impact. The ability to travel 2-4 nights throughout the week on key projects and home on the weekends. Per Diem and hotel stay provided.

A Day in the Life

No two days are exactly the same, but here's a glimpse into what your day-to-day might look like:

Morning Kickoff

• Start your day by reviewing detailed work specifications and plans for the day’s tasks.
• Conduct safety checks on all tools and equipment, ensuring proper functionality and readiness.

Tool Operation

• Operate a variety of tools, including power tools like drills and circular saws, as well as landscape equipment like chainsaws and weed eaters, to perform critical tasks on-site.

Hands-On Erosion Control

• Work hands-on to implement erosion and sediment control measures, following detailed specifications to ensure compliance with environmental regulations. Seeding, mulching and matting
• Assist in setting up and maintaining traffic control systems to ensure safety around the work area
• Set-Up and maintenance of bypass water pumping & work area dewatering

End-of-Day Wrap-Up

• Clean and store tools and equipment, ensuring everything is ready for the next day.
• Review completed tasks with your supervisor to confirm everything meets the required standards and specifications.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
• Capable of walking over uneven surfaces, climbing on construction equipment, and navigating hills.
• Comfortable working outdoors and performing tasks at ground level.

• High school diploma or GED.
• Prior experience in landscaping, construction, farming, or outdoor labor
• Understanding of erosion and sediment control guidelines
• Basic Knowledge of traffic control procedures
