JOB SUMMARY:

The Research Associate will conduct research in sustainable crop production, assist in the ongoing research projects in the Narayanan lab, supervise students, manage field research, and participate in outreach and result dissemination activities. Other duties as assigned.

JOB DUTIES:

25% - Conduct/coordinate/participate in outreach and result dissemination activities related to current projects.

25% - Supervise graduate and undergraduate students in the Narayanan lab and field research.

25% - Help manage field research related to current projects.

25% - Conduct/coordinate/participate in sustainable crop production research related to current projects.

Minimum Requirements:

A bachelor's degree in a related field and work experience directly related to the assigned research area; or a high school diploma and advanced journey-level work experience in a clinical or research setting.

Fundamental working knowledge of concepts, practices and procedures and ability to apply in varied situations.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Supervises Student workers only

BUDGETARY RESPONSIBILITIES

No fiscal responsibility for the department's budget.

COMPENSATION INFORMATION:

Expected Salary Range

$45,000 - $50,000

Salary is dependent upon several factors including, but not limited to, a candidate's previous experience, knowledge, skills and performance in accordance with Clemson's compensation guidelines.

ESSENTIAL PERSONNEL LEVEL:

Normal Operations - Required to follow emergency facility closure and modified operations directives, and not normally expected to work on-site during emergency situations.
