$81,000.00 - $111,375.00/Annual
Actual pay is determined based on job-related factors such as relevant experience, education, credentials, skills, internal equity, and business needs. Overview The RMG RN Clinical Education and Training Coordinator functions under the direction of the Nurse Executive. This individual is responsible for the development and implementation of efficient and effective programs for competency validation, continuing education, workforce development and patient education. Programs are based on the principles of evidenced based practice and adult learning. This individual is responsible for collaborating with practice leaders and practice directors to achieve best practices, educational excellence and implementation of current RMG and health system initiatives. This individual demonstrates the clinical expertise to provide appropriate care to various patient populations and specialties and serves as an educational resource to the interdisciplinary patient care team. Facilitates leadership growth and mentorship to RMG Clinical Coordinators. Responsible for training preceptors and provides coordination for new hires with appropriate preceptors within the practices. Participates in Environment of Care (EOC) rounds to ensure compliance with DNV standards.

What you will do

  • Collaborates with leadership, human resources, physicians and team members to effectively assess learning needs. Develops and Implements education plan successfully pertinent to needs identified.
  • Coordinates/develops, prioritizes, implements and communicates orientation and educational opportunities for team members, leadership and non-employees as aligned with RHS strategic mission, vision and values. Utilizes resources, assessment and feedback tools to develop educational offerings calendar to meet established educational goals for the facility. Responsible for competency builds for new procedures, education plans, and then yearly maintenance.
  • Leads/coordinates team member competency validation program and facility orientation in collaboration with HR and facility leadership to ensure the highest quality of care is performed by all team members in accordance with RHS policies/procedures and regulatory requirements.
  • Effectively and efficiently utilizes information systems/software to input, develop, track, trend, retrieve and report required data on-time
  • Shows commitment to learning new knowledge and skills to enhance service, maintain competency and achieve organizational goals by incorporating research, current clinical literature and engaging subject matter experts. Serves as a consultant to leadership and team members to ensure goals are achieved.
  • Strives to continuously improve service and patient care outcomes through maintenance of regulatory and accreditation by participating in mock EOC rounds and actual accreditation surveys.
  • Actively seeks out opportunities to involve physicians, managers, directors and team member in organizational learning goals by effectively identifying subject matter experts to provide educational series/in-services.

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelors Degree, Nursing (Required)
  • Masters Degree, Nursing or Healthcare (Preferred)

Experience

  • 1 year RN experience (Required)
  • 1 year Ambulatory setting experience (Preferred)

Licenses and Certifications

  • Registered Nurse (RN) - Virginia Department of Health Professions (VDHP) Licensed as Registered Nurse in state of Virginia or compact state Upon Hire(Required) and
  • CPR/BLS Certification - American Heart Association/American Red Cross/American Safety and Health Institute (AHA/ARC) Upon Hire(Required) and
  • CPR/BLS Instructor - American Heart Association/American Red Cross/American Safety and Health Institute (AHA/ARC) Upon hire or within 1 year of hire within 1 Year(Required)
  • Specialty Certification (e.g., AMB-BC, NPD-BC, etc.) Upon Hire (Preferred)
  • Drives personal vehicle for RHS business 25% or more of the time to perform essential functions of the job
  • Valid Drivers License Required
