Overview:

Sentara is hiring an experienced Radiation Therapist II at Princess Anne Hospital, in Virginia Beach, Virginia.

Shift: PRN, FLOAT

This position will provide support to our Hampton Roads Hospitals to include:

• Sentara Princess Anne Hospital
• Sentara Virginia Beach General
• Sentara Brock Cancer Center
• Sentara Norfolk General Hospital
• Sentara Obici Hospital
• Sentara Careplex Hospital
• Sentara Albemarle Medical Center

Overview

Provide radiation therapy to patients as prescribed by a Radiation Oncologist according to established practices and standards. Duties may include but are not limited to:

• Deliver external beam radiotherapy to include (3D, IMRT, SRS/SBRT) • Deliver brachytherapy treatment • Perform patient simulations; preparing equipment, such as immobilization, treatment, and protection devices • Reviewing patient records for accuracy • Acting as liaison with physician and supportive care personnel • Maintaining patient records, reports, and files

Minimum of 3 years of experience and must meet 4 of the following criteria and have passed associated competencies to move from Radiation Therapist I:

Criteria: Competencies/Requirement Pediatric Center: Age based competencies EBRT/Sim Clinical Coordinator-RTT Students: Preceptor/clinical coord Comp SRS/SBRT: General SRS/SBRT Comps Simulation Tech: General Sim Comp, IV Start Comp Treatment Competencies: General EBRT Comp Advanced Imaging: Identify/Vision RT/iCBCT/Gated CBCT/4D CBCT Brachy Therapist: General Brachy Comp Second Licensure (CT, MRI, R): Proof of second licensure

Completion of an approved certification program prior to 2016 in lieu of Associates degree will also be considered.

Education

• Associates Degree in Radiologic Technology REQUIRED

Certification/Licensure

• ARRT Certification REQUIRED

Experience

• 3 years Radiation Therapy experience REQUIRED
