About the role

We're looking for a strategic, hands-on Growth Marketing Manager to drive core business performance and scale Thumbtack's rapidly growing Paid Social program across channels like Meta, YouTube, TikTok, Pinterest, and Reddit.

You're a builder at heart: someone who owns their numbers, pushes ideas outside the current playbook, and has taken a channel or audience from 0 to 1 and made it stick, while collaborating with Creative, Analytics, Martech, and driving performance forward with AI and automation. What you’ll do

• Manage and efficiently scale Thumbtack's Consumer Paid Social campaigns across platforms like Meta, YouTube, TikTok, Pinterest, and Reddit, driving incremental customer growth and revenue
• Identify and execute opportunities for channel expansion and unlocking new Social platforms to drive the next frontier of core customer growth
• Drive our end-to-end emergent Pro (B2B) strategy and execution across Social channels
• Own in-house campaign management and optimizations, including budget pacing, bid optimization, creative iteration, audience segmentation, and platform best practices
• Build and implement Paid Social testing roadmaps with cross-functional partners, driving a continuous test-and-learn approach across audiences, creative, and platforms
• Own tracking, QA, reporting, and measurement for Paid Social, partnering with internal and third-party tools to ensure confidence in results
• Collaborate with Brand and Creative teams to develop and iterate thumb-stopping, performance-driven creative that also advances Thumbtack's brand narrative

In order to be successful, you must bring

• Bachelor's/Master's in Marketing, Business, Statistics, Economics, or a related field preferred
• 6+ years of experience managing, scaling, and evolving paid social programs at $X-XX million monthly spend
• Deep platform and technical expertise in social platforms, with a minimum of 2+ such as Meta, YouTube, TikTok, Pinterest, and Reddit
• Proven track record of unlocking growth from new channels and tactics across creative, martech, and AI tooling
• Strong analytical chops, with experience in Excel/Google Sheets (pivot tables, lookups) and hands-on comfort with incrementality, MMM, A/B testing, lift testing, and attribution frameworks
• Confident communicator with proven experience collaborating with multiple cross-functional partners
• Comfort in a fast-paced, high-stakes growth org, with a bias for action, experimentation, and results

Expected salary ranges

• For candidates living in San Francisco / Bay Area, San Jose, New York City, or Seattle metros, the expected total cash compensation (base salary + variable pay, if applicable) range for the role is currently $123,300 - $159,500.
• For candidates living in Austin, TX or Washington DC metros or in California, Massachusetts, New Jersey, or Washington states, the expected total cash compensation (base salary + variable pay, if applicable) range for the role is currently $111,400 - $144,100.
• For candidates living in all other US locations, the expected total cash compensation (base salary + variable pay, if applicable) range for the role is currently $104,600 - $135,300.

Actual offered salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as calibrated job level, qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role.
