What you get to do: Assist leadership in execution of safety audit program and in-service training Assist with department training, including conducting ARC training, in-Service, and Mentoring new team members during OJT as “shadows” while on stand Assist with park onboarding process. Attend monthly in-service training to maintain/improve skill level and advise other lifeguards on skills and assist in building a sense of team Ensure safety of park guests by adhering to ARC Waterpark Lifeguard Training and Park Standard Operating Procedures Perform various daily tasks for park opening and closing, including overseeing work teams Monitor all waterways in the park Initiate interaction daily and demonstrate unparalleled guest service with park guests in a proactive manner Assist with maintaining park cleanliness Perform other duties as assigned What it takes to succeed: At least (1) year as part of the Water Safety Team Must be fully proficient in all Lifeguard tasks/responsibilities and be in good standing (cannot have written warning or higher level of corrective action). Must be able to obtain American Red Cross Lifeguard Instructor certification Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, and ability to present to various sized groups Trained and able to work at SEA waterparks Able to pass Deep Water Swim test Possess current certification in American Red Cross Waterpark Lifeguarding & First Aid, CPR & AED for Lifeguards Able to stand for long periods of time Able to walk/run in sand Able to lift, push and pull 30 pounds Must be able to climb on uneven surfaces or towers (up to 65 feet tall) Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions and temperature extremes Comfortable with working around chemicals Comfortable working in/around water Must be available to work varying shifts/hours based on business need, to include opening, mid-, and closing shifts; nights, weekends, and holidays Must have at least 3 days of open availability The perks of the position: Ambassadors will enjoy a fun, fast-paced environment, and great teammates, as well as: FREE park admission Discounts on park admission tickets and passes for family and friends Park discounts on food, merchandise, etc. Scholarship opportunities Exclusive employee events and giveaways EEO Employer: SEAWORLD PARKS & ENTERTAINMENT IS AN EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER.
