Job Description
Job Summary
Shriners Hospitals for Children is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist to provide comprehensive physical therapy services to pediatric patients with orthopedic and neuromuscular conditions, focusing on maximizing their functional independence and quality of life.
Key Responsibilities
- Provides comprehensive compliant and safe clinical care demonstrating the philosophy of family centered care, a commitment to the achievement of optimal patient outcomes in alignment with the standards of practice of their professional organization.
- Works with medical staff and the multidisciplinary team to design and implement individualized plans of care to meet the needs of the pediatric patients and their family.
- Functions as a team member and develops leadership skills through activities such as: mentoring, and providing education to students and other professionals.
- Supports the ongoing development and improvement of the department through participation in special projects, performance improvement and facility committees.
- Responsible for professional growth and development through ongoing education and research in alignment with hospital’s patient care and strategic direction.
- Responsible for maintaining current knowledge in changes related to scope of practice, coding/billing practices, compliant documentation and any other knowledge related to the compliant practice in a revenue cycle environment.
Required Qualifications
- Education necessary to obtain license in state of practice
- Licensed in state of practice
- CPR/BLS (per hospital policy)
Preferred Qualifications
- One-year of PT practice experience
- Pediatric experience
- New graduates considered

Compensation is determined based on years of relevant experience and departmental equity.
