SUMMARY

The Trainer role is responsible for equipping associates with the knowledge, skills, and resources needed to perform successfully in their jobs. By delivering consistent training and supporting professional development, the trainer serves as a role model who demonstrates accountability, teamwork, initiative, dependability, effective communication, and proactive problem-solving. Through these efforts, the position plays a key role in promoting a positive work environment, strengthening team performance, and fostering a culture of continuous growth and success.

LEADERS

Leaders are expected to create a safe work environment through implementation and commitment to the Safety & Health - Vision, Values and Mission and the Safety Principles of Conduct. Promote safety by following company and site safety policies and procedures, responding to safety non-conformance by coaching to correct behaviors and encouraging and support employees by attending employee safety meetings and recognition of safe behaviors.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

· Provide thorough and effective on the job training to new associates as assigned.

· Ensure training is in compliance with the designed training program, ISO documentation and provided training resources.

· Effectively communicate with supervisors, team leads, management and associates at all levels of the organization.

· Have complete knowledge of policies, products, defects, and procedures within your department.

· Evaluate effectiveness of training throughout the process.

· Ability to work with all employees in a professional and respectful manner.

· Providing consistent, honest and direct feedback to those training and those involved in the training process through on-going communication and documentation.

· Participate in training and activities for professional development as a trainer and apply these skills during the training process.

· Participate in cross-training current associates as needed.

· Create a culture of safety throughout the training process.

· Position will work as a floor person when not training.

· Must follow all work rules and policies.

· All other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High School or GED required. One to two years related manufacturing experience with previous experience as a trainer a plus. Experience in a high-place molding environment is highly recommended.

COMPUTER SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Must be able to operate computer, including simple keyboarding, using a mouse, and opening and closing computer applications. Familiar with the following: Opentext and Password Reset Tool. Proficient in writing/sending emails and Microsoft Office would be a plus. Those willing to learn will also be considered.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and

written. Have an interest in helping new associates succeed in their role and seek feedback Must be able to speak effectively in front of multiple associates as well as peers while training. Maintain timely feedback via written or verbal interactions with managers, supervisors, and staffing agency at all times.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio and percentage.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to handle problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The physical requirements for this position are classified as requiring Level 3 – Medium Work. This is defined as the ability to exert up to 20-50 pounds of force (includes lift, carry, push or pull) occasionally, and/or up to 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly.

Specific vision abilities are required for this job include perfect color vision, close vision, depth perception, and ability to focus to perform the following: Visual checks for defects, color matching, use of magnifying glass, use of microscope and measurements to 1/64”.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts and is regularly exposed to risk of electrical shock. The employee is frequently exposed to vibration. The employee occasionally works in high, precarious places and is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
