The Manufacturing Support Associate plays a crucial role in supporting the overall manufacturing operations by providing assistance and support across various production areas including quality and safety. This position involves performing a wide range of tasks to ensure the smooth and efficient functioning of the manufacturing processes. The primary focus of the Manufacturing Support Associate is to maintain a safe and organized manufacturing environment, operate equipment, and assist in material handling and quality checks.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Maintain Safety Standards: Support leadership in promoting and enhancing safety efforts across all aspects of the manufacturing operation. Follow all safety protocols and guidelines, wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and identifying potential safety hazards or issues.
- Equipment operation: Operate machinery, forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment required for material handling or general manufacturing processes.
- Material handling: Assist in loading and unloading raw materials, finished products, and supplies, ensuring accurate inventory control and proper storage.
- Quality control support: Collaborate with quality control personnel to perform routine checks, inspections, and basic tests to ensure product quality and adherence to specifications.
- Inventory management: Assist in inventory counts, stock replenishment, and recording accurate inventory data using computer systems or manual processes.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records and documentation related to production activities, equipment maintenance, and inventory management.
- Troubleshooting: Assist in identifying and resolving minor equipment malfunctions or operational issues, reporting larger problems to maintenance or engineering teams.
- Continuous improvement: Actively participate in process improvement initiatives, suggesting ideas and implementing changes to enhance operational efficiency and productivity.
We’d love to hear from you if:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment is preferred.
- Familiarity with basic machinery operation and material handling techniques.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions and procedures.
- Good physical stamina and the ability to perform tasks that involve lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Basic computer literacy for data entry and record-keeping.
- Familiar with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
- 3+ years of manufacturing maintenance experience
