Votre impact Vous ferez partie d’une équipe exceptionnelle de prévente technique au sein de notre Global Security Sales Organization (GSSO), responsable de stimuler le succès du portefeuille de solutions de sécurité de Cisco et de se concentrer sur la protection des environnements d’applications des clients, peu importe où ils se trouvent (sur site ou dans tout type de nuage). Vos responsabilités • Agir comme expert en la matière pour les solutions de sécurité de Cisco • Fournir des conseils et aider les équipes de comptes du territoire à élaborer des solutions répondant à des besoins spécifiques de sécurité des clients • Comprendre les exigences d’affaires d’une base de clients et être en mesure de les traduire en exigences techniques • Comprendre et expliquer l’architecture et les services de Cisco dans le domaine des technologies de sécurité • Créer, présenter et documenter des solutions techniques • Effectuer des présentations techniques détaillées et de haut niveau auprès des clients, des partenaires et des prospects • Stimuler les occasions majeures identifiées auprès des comptes (c.-à-d. consultation technique, présentations à la haute direction et solutions technologiques Cisco), tout en permettant aux équipes de comptes locales de conserver la responsabilité à long terme de la relation Qualifications minimales Au moins 4 ans d’expérience en vente technique ou en prévente, dont plus de 2 ans de spécialisation en sécurité, avec expérience en sécurité des courriels, IDS/IPS, antivirus, pare-feu et technologies de protection avancée contre les logiciels malveillants. Antécédents démontrés dans la gestion et la réussite de projets techniques et de grande valeur en sécurité des TI. Expérience en administration de systèmes Unix/Linux, en réseautage IP de bas niveau (au niveau des paquets) et compréhension approfondie de la sécurité des réseaux. Maîtrise des environnements infonuagiques (Cloud) et des solutions SaaS. Qualifications privilégiées Expérience de vente auprès de comptes commerciaux, d’entreprises et/ou de fournisseurs de services. Maîtrise de l’anglais et du français, à l’oral et à l’écrit. Diplôme de premier cycle (B.Sc./B.A. en génie électrique ou en informatique) ou équivalent fortement souhaité. Excellentes aptitudes pour les présentations et les relations interpersonnelles. Sens aigu des réalités commerciales et solides compétences en communication. Personne très motivée et autonome, n’ayant pas besoin d’une gestion quotidienne. Expérience avec les technologies de sécurité de Cisco. Meet the Team

You will provide guidance and assist Security Sellers and Account teams within the territory in a pre-sales technical role, showcasing Cisco security product solutions, setting up demonstrations, explaining features and benefits to customers, and designing and configuring products to address specific customer security needs. You will form relationships with our customer’s key decision-makers, positioning Cisco security solutions aligned accurately to their requirements.

As an advisor to the customer, you’ll be working with technology experts to craft architectures and configure products to meet customer-specific needs, are prepared to lead all technical aspects of pre-sales activities, and position security solutions effectively against competing offerings. You are an aggressive starter, self-starter with the ability to build executive relationships, develop and execute sales strategies and tactics that improve Cisco’s opportunity with a customer environment, position and promote the partner and customer value proposition for Cisco security architecture, articulate Cisco’s product and business strategies, and create the demand that makes deals happen!

Your Impact

You will be a part of an outstanding technical pre-sales team in our Global Security Sales Organization (GSSO), responsible for driving the success of Cisco’s Security Portfolio and focusing on protecting Customer Application Environments no matter where they live (on-prem / any cloud).

You Will

• Serve as the subject matter expert in Cisco security solutions

• Provide guidance and assist account teams within the territory in building solutions to address specific customer security needs

• Understand business requirements for a customer base and be able to translate them into technical requirements

• Understand and articulate Cisco’s architecture and services within security technologies

• Create, present, and document technical solutions

• Perform in-depth and high-level technical presentations for customers partners and prospects

• Drive identified major account opportunities (i.e. technical consulting, upper-level management presentations, and Cisco technology solutions) while allowing local account teams to maintain long-term ownership

Minimum Qualifications

  • Minimum of 4 years of technical sales or pre-sales experience with 2+ years in Security specialization experience with Email Security, IDS/IPS, AV, Firewall, Advanced Malware Protection technologies
  • Proven track record of managing and winning technical and high-value IT security projects
  • Experience in administering Unix/Linux systems, low-layer (packet-level) IP networking, and a thorough understanding of network security
  • Proficiency in Cloud and SaaS

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience selling to Commercial, Enterprise and/or Service Provider accounts
  • English and French language written and verbal proficiency
  • BS/BA (EE/CS) or equivalent is highly preferred
  • Solid presentation and interpersonal skills
  • Commercial awareness and strong communication skills
  • Highly motivated self-starter who does not need day-to-day management
  • Experience with Cisco security technologies

The starting salary range posted for this position is $205,900.00 to $260,100.00 and reflects the projected salary range for new hires in this position in U.S. and/or Canada locations, not including incentive compensation*, equity, or benefits.

Individual pay is determined by the candidate's hiring location, market conditions, job-related skillset, experience, qualifications, education, certifications, and/or training. The full salary range for certain locations is listed below. For locations not listed below, the recruiter can share more details about compensation for the role in your location during the hiring process.

U.S. employees are offered benefits, subject to Cisco’s plan eligibility rules, which include medical, dental and vision insurance, a 401(k) plan with a Cisco matching contribution, paid parental leave, short and long-term disability coverage, and basic life insurance. Employees may be eligible to receive grants of Cisco restricted stock units, which vest following continued employment with Cisco for defined periods of time.

U.S. employees are eligible for paid time away as described below, subject to Cisco’s policies:

  • 10 paid holidays per full calendar year, plus 1 floating holiday for non-exempt employees
  • 1 paid day off for employee’s birthday, paid year-end holiday shutdown, and 4 paid days off for personal wellness determined by Cisco
  • Non-exempt employees** receive 16 days of paid vacation time per full calendar year, accrued at rate of 4.92 hours per pay period for full-time employees
  • Exempt employees participate in Cisco’s flexible vacation time off program, which has no defined limit on how much vacation time eligible employees may use (subject to availability and some business limitations)
  • 80 hours of sick time off provided on hire date and each January 1st thereafter, and up to 80 hours of unused sick time carried forward from one calendar year to the next
  • Additional paid time away may be requested to deal with critical or emergency issues for family members
  • Optional 10 paid days per full calendar year to volunteer

For non-sales roles, employees are also eligible to earn annual bonuses subject to Cisco’s policies.

Employees on sales plans earn performance-based incentive pay on top of their base salary, which is split between quota and non-quota components, subject to the applicable Cisco plan. For quota-based incentive pay, Cisco typically pays as follows:

  • .75% of incentive target for each 1% of revenue attainment up to 50% of quota;
  • 1.5% of incentive target for each 1% of attainment between 50% and 75%;
  • 1% of incentive target for each 1% of attainment between 75% and 100%; and
  • Once performance exceeds 100% attainment, incentive rates are at or above 1% for each 1% of attainment with no cap on incentive compensation.

For non-quota-based sales performance elements such as strategic sales objectives, Cisco may pay 0% up to 125% of target. Cisco sales plans do not have a minimum threshold of performance for sales incentive compensation to be paid.

The applicable full salary ranges for this position, by specific state, are listed below:

New York City Metro Area:

$229,000.00 - $344,700.00

Non-Metro New York state & Washington state:

$218,600.00 - $329,000.00

* For quota-based sales roles on Cisco’s sales plan, the ranges provided in this posting include base pay and sales target incentive compensation combined.

** Employees in Illinois, whether exempt or non-exempt, will participate in a unique time off program to meet local requirements.
