Splunk

Krakow, Poland

Meet the Team

The License Manager team builds and evolves the core licensing and entitlement capabilities that power Splunk products. Our work helps customers understand, manage, and stay compliant with their licensed usage through reliable, secure, and high-performance software. We are a collaborative engineering team focused on backend and systems development, with strong partnerships across product management, support, and engineering. The team combines technical depth with a strong sense of ownership and continuous improvement. What makes this team exciting is the opportunity to work on foundational platform capabilities that directly impact customer trust, product reliability, and business operations.

Your Impact

Build, test, debug, and maintain core License Manager capabilities using Go and C++ to support secure, reliable, and scalable product functionality. Deliver well-scoped features, fixes, and enhancements from design through implementation and completion. Write clean, maintainable, and secure code with strong unit and integration test coverage to improve product quality and reliability. Investigate product and production issues to identify root causes and contribute to durable fixes. Collaborate with senior engineers, product management, support, and engineering partners to improve system behavior, deliver customer value, and grow ownership over broader technical areas over time.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Strong, recent hands-on Go experience building scalable, reliable production services.
  • Experience with distributed systems, APIs, secure service-to-service communication, and production support.
  • Ability to reason about performance, including latency, throughput, memory use, concurrency, and failure modes.
  • Strong testing, debugging, and production-troubleshooting skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous C++ experience sufficient to read, understand, and diagnose behavior in an existing performance-sensitive C++ codebase.
  • Experience integrating Go services with legacy systems or contributing to gradual modernization from C++ to Go.
  • Experience investigating performance or reliability issues in production systems.
  • Python experience, particularly for test development, test tooling, and automation.
  • Familiarity with licensing, entitlements, metering, or commercial-platform systems.
  • Experience with observability and incident response.
