Grounds Maintenance

Functions

• Performs duties as directed by the superintendent and/or assistant superintendent
• Operates a variety of powered and non-powered hand tools to carry out tasks such as, but not limited to, weed eating, edging, blowing and pruning.
• Course setup and daily course preparation
• Maintains bunkers, bunker surrounds, pond banks, creeks and fence lines
• Mows areas as instructed with various forms of push and riding mowers
• Keeps golf course, grounds, and structures clean and presentable
• Assists in repair projects/improvements such as drainage and irrigation repair and installation of sodding and seeding
• Tree and shrub planting, pruning, and removal, leaf/debris removal and under-brushing
• Spot sprays weeds and applies fertilizers on golf course and grounds
• Reports problems concerning equipment to the equipment manager, superintendent or assistant superintendent
• Keeps all equipment, transport vehicles, restrooms, break room, and maintenance facility clean and presentable
