About the Opportunity:

BIM Modeler with experience of substation projects

Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering

Experience & Skills

Your background

  • Overall, 5-6 years’ experience with 3-4 years’ work experience in BIM Processes
  • Strong modeling skills in REVIT and exposure to ACC (Autodesk Construction Cloud)
  • Ability to understand and produce layouts (plan and sections) and produce further detailed drawings
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • BIM authoring using Revit (or discipline‑specific tools such as Tekla, Civil 3D)
  • Creation and maintenance of:
  • Parametric families
  • Templates
  • Schedules and quantities
  • Understanding of LOD / LOI concepts and staged information delivery
  • Ability to interpret drawings, specifications, and EIR requirements
  • Clear technical communication
  • Ability to accept and act on coordination feedback

Discipline in following defined processes and workflows

  • Understanding of the following will be an added advantageBIM Execution Plan (BEP) Task Information Delivery Plan (TIDP) CDE workflows and permissions
  • Accurate naming, versioning, and status tagging of information containers
  • Experience in preparation of substation layouts either in 3D or 2D will be added advantage. Experience in preparation of overall equipment layouts, equipment arrangement layouts for AIS and GIS substations, earthing, cable routing, lightning protection layouts, electrical clearances, cut out drawings and civil guides, foundation layouts etc.
  • Exposure to 33kV/132kV/220kV/400kV GIS and AIS projects will be an added advantage.

How you’ll make an impact

  • Produce discipline‑specific BIM models as agreed in the BEP and Task Information Delivery Plan (TIDP)
  • Develop models to required LOD / LOI at each project stage (Tender, Design, Construction, as‑Built)
  • Populate models with accurate geometry, attributes, parameters, and metadata
  • Ensure all authored models comply with:
  • Model structure and classification rules
  • BIM standards and naming conventions
  • Shared parameter requirements
  • Perform self‑checks prior to submission to the Common Data Environment (CDE)
  • Publish and update models in the CDE as per workflow (WIP → Shared → Published)
  • Support BIM Coordinator during:
  • Model federation
  • Clash detection
  • Issue resolution
  • Resolve assigned clashes and model issues within agreed timelines
  • Implement design changes accurately and traceably
  • Maintain version control and update history
  • Ensure information containers remain consistent with latest approved inputs
  • Coordinate with:
  • BIM Coordinator (coordination & priorities)
  • Discipline Leads (technical requirements)
  • Participating in coordination meetings, model reviews, and quality audits as required
  • Deliver the project deliverables as per the timelines
  • Work with the project engineers to and other stakeholders to check the interfaces
  • Generate the bill of quantity/bill of materials from the model or estimate it.
