Hitachi Rail is looking for an enthusiastic self-motivated Project Manager who thrives in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate is comfortable performing a wide range of tasks from administrative to strategic. The position is based in Panama.

Mission
Achieve the defined objectives for the assigned project, within the terms and conditions of the project.
Accountabilities
- Ensure (during the bidding phase) the final validation, of bidding whole life costs estimation, revenues, margins and risks and work schedule
- Ensure the on time, on budget and on quality delivery of the project
- Achieve the targets of the assigned project in terms of Costs, Revenues, Margin and Cash in
- Achieve of the identified KPIs
- Ensure Client relationship, personally interfacing with the client
- Monitor customer satisfaction
- Contribute to the promotion of business opportunities and manage the Change Orders/Variation Orders
- Ensure contract claims preparation and disputes handling in accordance to contract provisions (e.g. identifying and applying any preventive/corrective action)
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Required Skills/ Knowledge
- Form 3 up to 5 years of experience as project manager
- Demonstrated ability to lead, engage and integrate the activities of cross-functional teams with varying skills/experience
- Ability to manage time and to comply with the deadlines
- Resource planning and cost control
- Maintaining and controlling quality
- Schedule monitoring/development
- Communication and leadership skills
- Prior experience in risk assessment and management
- Market and customer oriented
- Flexible and able to work in an international team
Education / Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree and PM Certification or Equivalent Technical Background
Languages
English and Spanish Proficiency
