About the Role
- Pull pricing, margin, and sales data from the data warehouse for ad hoc analysis
- Use AI tools (Claude, Claude Code, Copilot, or similar) daily to write formulas, draft SQL, automate repetitive tasks, summarize results, and accelerate your own learning
- Execute daily, weekly, and seasonal price changes across four banners, ensuring accuracy and on-time delivery
- Monitor competitive pricing across key categories and partner brands; surface risks and opportunities to the Sr. Pricing Analyst and Buying teams
- Track MAP and MSRP compliance across the assortment, flagging and correcting violations in a timely manner
- Bring analytical judgment to pricing and strategy conversations—surface trends, audit outcomes, flag risks, and recommend pricing actions that improve sell-through, margin, or working capital
- Build and maintain pricing reports and dashboards that Planning, Buying, and Marketing teams rely on
- Document and improve pricing processes—turn one-off analyses into repeatable AI-powered workflows
- Partner with Marketing on promotional pricing setup and post-promo recaps
- Maintain a strong feedback loop with the Sr. Pricing Analyst on what is working, what is not, and where to push next

Required Qualifications
- 3–5 years of analyst experience, preferably in retail, ecommerce, or a related data-driven role
- Demonstrated daily use of AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT, Copilot, Gemini, or similar) for real work—you iterate on prompts, evaluate outputs critically, and know when AI is the right tool versus when it is not
- High proficiency with Microsoft Excel (pivots, lookups, formulas) and a strong aptitude to learn technical applications quickly
- Solid understanding of retail math (margin, markdown, sell-through, IMU) and financial concepts (GMROI, NPV, CM%)
- Awareness of customer pricing behavior—anchoring, discount perception, and how merchandising and pricing decisions land on a product detail page
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work with messy datasets
- Excellent attention to detail—pricing errors are expensive, and you treat that responsibility seriously
- Excellent written and verbal communication; able to translate analysis into a clear, concise recommendation
- Able to work both independently and collaboratively across Planning, Buying, Marketing, and Finance
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Statistics, or a related field preferred; equivalent demonstrated experience considered
- Passion for the outdoor industry and knowledge of outdoor gear is a plus.

- Take-Home Assignment - A pre-built test requiring high-level analysis, the use and documentation of AI as a working partner, and advanced communication skills to convey complex business recommendations.
- In-Person Interview - We'd like to meet you at our Cottonwood Heights office. Details and logistics will be arranged with your recruiter.
