Thomson Power Systems (a Regal Rexnord company) is a leading manufacturer of electrical products and systems for use in the Power Generation Industry for over 50 years. As we are expanding into a new facility near Arlington, TX, we're seeking an exceptional quality inspector to work closely with our Quality Supervisor and the other coworkers to build and grow this new facility.
We are seeking a Quality Inspector to support quality assurance activities within our electrical panel and switchgear manufacturing operations. In this role, you will perform in-process and final inspections, ensure product compliance with quality standards, support continuous improvement initiatives, and help maintain ISO 9001 quality system requirements. The Quality Inspector partners closely with production, engineering, and quality teams to drive customer satisfaction, reduce defects, and support operational excellence.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Minimum three (3) years of manufacturing experience in electrical panel, switchgear, power distribution equipment, or a related electrical assembly environment.
- Working knowledge of ISO 9001 quality management system requirements and quality documentation practices.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, engineering drawings, and bills of material (BOMs).
- Hands-on experience using inspection and test equipment including:Multimeters Calipers Torque meters Torque wrenches Impact tools
- Experience identifying defects, investigating root causes, and supporting corrective actions.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot quality issues in a manufacturing environment.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

Preferred Qualifications
- Technical diploma, certificate, or associate degree in Electrical Technology, Manufacturing Technology, Quality Assurance, or a related field.
- Experience supporting UL, customer, or third-party quality audits.
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Experience utilizing quality tools such as:5S Kaizen SPC (Statistical Process Control) FMEA 8D Problem Solving
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience using Power BI dashboards and quality performance reporting tools.
Key Responsibilities
Inspection & Quality Control
- Perform in-process, final, and receiving inspections as required.
- Create, review, and maintain inspection reports, quality checklists, and final acceptance documentation.
- Verify products meet engineering specifications, customer requirements, and quality standards.
- Troubleshoot quality concerns identified during inspections and support corrective action implementation.
Quality Assurance & Compliance
- Maintain and enforce quality control procedures for assembly, testing, and finished goods operations.
- Collaborate with engineering to interpret drawings, schematics, wiring diagrams, and BOMs.
- Support ISO 9001 compliance activities, UL inspections, customer audits, and internal quality audits.
- Maintain accurate inspection records and quality documentation.
Continuous Improvement
- Identify opportunities to improve inspection methods, processes, and quality systems.
- Monitor quality metrics including first-pass yield, defect trends, and rework rates.
- Issue corrective actions and participate in root cause investigations.
- Support Lean Manufacturing and Regal Business System initiatives.
Training & Team Support
- Assist in onboarding and training new inspectors and production associates on quality standards, inspection practices, and safety requirements.
- Promote a culture of quality awareness throughout the facility.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Production, Engineering, and Operations teams.
Safety & Equipment Management
- Ensure all inspection activities are performed in accordance with electrical safety standards and company policies.
- Maintain calibration records for measuring and inspection equipment.
- Report unsafe conditions and support continuous improvement of workplace safety practices.

Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, squat, kneel, and perform repetitive motions throughout the workday.
- Ability to frequently lift and move materials up to 35 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.

- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment around electrical equipment and production operations
