Proposal Coordinator (Nuclear)

Within the UK Civil Nuclear sector, KBR provides programme management, engineering, project delivery, systems integration, technical consultancy and decommissioning support across the full nuclear lifecycle. Our projects support some of the industry's most significant programmes, from new nuclear build and operational facilities through to waste management and decommissioning.

As our Civil Nuclear business continues to grow, we are seeking an experienced Proposal Coordinator to join our team in Leatherhead and play a key role in supporting winning bids for major nuclear and government opportunities.

Reporting to the Proposal Manager (Nuclear), you will be an integral member of our pursuit and proposal team, working closely with business development, technical, commercial and project delivery professionals to develop compelling, compliant and high-quality submissions.

This is an excellent opportunity for a highly organised individual with experience supporting bids within regulated sectors such as nuclear, defence, energy, infrastructure or engineering.

Key Responsibilities

As a Proposal Coordinator, you will:

- Support proposals throughout the full bid lifecycle, from receipt of an Invitation to Tender (ITT) through to contract award. - Coordinate the preparation and submission of bids, SQs, PQQs, framework responses and capability statements. - Prepare proposal templates and ensure documents comply with client requirements and KBR branding standards. - Manage document production activities including formatting, proofreading, quality assurance and version control. - Coordinate stakeholder reviews and ensure feedback is captured and incorporated effectively. - Maintain proposal schedules, action trackers, submission plans and clarification logs to ensure deadlines are achieved. - Organise and support bid kick-off meetings, reviews, workshops and lessons-learned sessions. - Coordinate inputs from technical, commercial, legal, quality, HSE, supply chain and partner organisations. - Assist with compliance reviews to ensure submissions fully address tender requirements and evaluation criteria. - Support registrations and submissions through client procurement and e-sourcing portals, including systems such as Ariba, Jaggaer, Achilles and other government and nuclear-industry platforms. - Maintain proposal content libraries, including project references, case studies, CVs, organisation charts and standard company information. - Support bid governance, reporting and continuous improvement activities. - Ensure all proposal activities are carried out with a strong focus on quality, governance, security and confidentiality.

What You'll Bring Essential Experience - Experience supporting bids and proposals within a regulated industry environment including nuclear, defence, energy, engineering or infrastructure sectors. - Strong document management, formatting and coordination skills.

- Familiarity with UK government and regulated-sector procurement processes. - Advanced Microsoft Word skills and high proficiency across Microsoft 365 applications. - Excellent written English, proofreading capability and exceptional attention to detail. - Experience working across multidisciplinary teams and coordinating multiple stakeholders. - Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines. - Experience using SharePoint and document collaboration platforms.

Desirable Experience - Understanding of compliance-driven bid environments and quality assurance requirements. - Experience supporting bids involving consortium partners or third-party organisations. - Knowledge of UK nuclear industry clients and programmes, including organisations such as Sizewell C, Sellafield Ltd, Nuclear Restoration Services, EDF or Rolls-Royce SMR.
