KBR is seeking a Senior Security Principal, Identity Security to serve as a senior technical authority within our global cybersecurity organisation. In this principal-level role, you will help define and drive identity security strategy, architecture, governance, and engineering excellence across complex, highly regulated enterprise environments.

You will lead initiatives spanning Microsoft Entra ID, Active Directory, hybrid identity, privileged access management, identity governance, authentication technologies, workload identities, and certificate services. Working closely with cybersecurity, infrastructure, cloud, application, and business stakeholders, you will design and implement secure identity solutions that reduce risk, strengthen access controls, and support enterprise transformation programmes.

Education & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience and qualifications.
• Extensive experience in identity and access management, identity security, cybersecurity engineering, security architecture, or a related field.
• Proven experience designing, implementing, and supporting complex enterprise IAM environments.
• Experience leading identity security initiatives, architecture reviews, and transformation programmes within large-scale organisations.
• Strong track record of influencing security outcomes across complex enterprise environments.

Technical Skills

• Deep expertise in Microsoft Entra ID, Active Directory, and hybrid identity environments.
• Strong knowledge of identity governance, privileged access management, Conditional Access, and modern authentication technologies.
• Experience with federation, single sign-on, application identity, and identity lifecycle management.
• Strong understanding of MFA, FIDO2, Windows Hello for Business, certificate-based authentication, SAML, OAuth, and OpenID Connect.
• Knowledge of PKI, certificate services, trust models, and certificate lifecycle management.
• Experience investigating identity security incidents and leveraging Microsoft Sentinel, Microsoft Defender XDR, Microsoft Defender for Identity, or equivalent platforms.
• Strong stakeholder engagement, communication, problem-solving, and technical leadership capabilities.
• Ability to lead strategic initiatives and influence cross-functional teams.

Due to the nature of the work and customer requirements, applicants must be eligible to obtain and maintain the appropriate UK security clearance.

In September 2025, KBR announced the planned separation of its Mission Technology Solutions business into an independent public company. This role will ultimately become part of the new organisation, which partners with government, defence, intelligence, space, aviation, and critical infrastructure customers to deliver advanced engineering, technology, and mission support solutions.
