Responsibilities Include but not limited to:

Assist Electrician Journeyman/Foreman in installing and repairing wiring, fixtures, and equipment. Measures and cut pipe conduit to specified length, using power and hand tools. Threads conduit ends, using pipe threader, and connect couplings and conduit fittings, using wrench. Fabricates conduit support brackets. Secures brackets to bulkheads with screws and bolts and pulls wires through conduit leading to connection boxes, switch panels, and other terminals. Strips insulation from wire ends.

Qualifications Include:

High School Diploma or GED

Enrolled in Apprentice classes at an accredited school or be willing to be enrolled and attend.

Positively identify colors of wires

Ability to use power and hand tools

Awareness of operational safety requirements in work environment and ability to apply and follow procedures and requirements per regulations

Should be customer-service driven

Required: Valid Driver’s License

Own basic tools required on the jobsite

Requirements

  • Can pass a drug test and criminal background check.
  • Are legally eligible to work in the United States.

Position Summary:

Tidal Wave Auto Spa is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Director of Technical Accounting to lead the company’s complex accounting and financial reporting functions. This role will ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP, evaluate the accounting impact of new business transactions, and serve as the company’s subject matter expert on technical accounting matters. The Director of Technical Accounting will play a critical role in supporting accurate financial statements, strengthening internal controls, and guiding accounting policy decisions across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Research, interpret, and implement complex U.S. GAAP accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide guidance on accounting treatment for mergers and acquisitions, leases, revenue recognition, and other complex transactions.
  • Develop, maintain, and update accounting policies and procedures to ensure compliance with applicable standards.
  • Collaborate with finance, operations, and executive teams on the accounting implications of strategic initiatives.
  • Prepare and review technical accounting memos and documentation for external auditors.
  • Lead the preparation and review of financial disclosures and ensure accuracy in external reporting.
  • Monitor changes in accounting standards and communicate their potential impact to leadership.
  • Assist in the design and implementation of internal controls over financial reporting (ICFR).
  • Support training and development of accounting staff in technical accounting topics.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
  • Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration preferred.

Experience:

  • 8–10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including public accounting or corporate technical accounting roles.
  • Big Four public accounting experience strongly preferred.
  • In-depth knowledge of U.S. GAAP, SEC reporting, and internal controls.
  • Experience in multi-entity or multi-location organizations preferred.

Technical Skills:

  • Expert-level understanding of U.S. GAAP, FASB standards, and technical accounting guidance.
  • Proficiency in ERP and accounting systems (e.g., NetSuite, Oracle, SAP).
  • Strong financial modeling, analysis, and reporting capabilities.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tool proficiency.

Soft Skills:

  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent communication and technical writing abilities.
  • High attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Collaborative leadership style with the ability to work across teams and functions.

Preferred Certifications:

  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) required.
  • Chartered Accountant (CA) or equivalent certification a plus.

Additional Information

  • This role may require work outside of normal business hours, including evenings and weekends, based on company needs.
  • This role may also require occasional driving for company business using a company, rental, or personal vehicle. A valid driver’s license and compliance with company driving standards are required.
