Machine Learning Engineer Graduate (Global E-Commerce, Risk Control) - 2027 Start (PhD)

About the Team The E-Commerce Risk Control (ECRC) team is missioned: - To protect E-Commerce users, including and beyond buyer, seller, creator; - By securing the integrity of our ecommerce ecosystem and providing a safe shopping experience on the platform; - Through building infrastructures, platforms and technologies, as well as collaborating with many cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

Responsibilities Develop domain-specific machine learning / LLMs / Agents to decode and prevent intricate, cross-domain fraudulent activties. 1. Analyze massive business and security data to mine abnormal user behavior, and uncover evolving risky patterns. 2. Productionize AI agent pipelines engineered for real-time prevention under massive global traffic. 3. Analyze / test the effectiveness of the built solutions. 4. Work in a cross-functional team setting to mitigate business risks. 5. Work with relevant software platform to develop/deploy/monitor the models.

Minimum Qualifications 1. Individuals who are completing or have recently completed a PhD degree in Software Development, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline. 2. Good coding skills in one or more programming language.

Preferred Qualifications 1. Good knowledge on machine learning / LLM / Agentic system and hands-on experience with popular frameworks such as pytorch, Scikit-learn, LangChain, Hugging Face Transformers. 2. Ability to think critically, rationally, and communicate in result-oriented, data-driven manner.
