Accounts Payable Specialist

• Inputting Accounts Payable (AP) data accurately and in a timely manner
• Review invoices for accuracy and proper authorization
• Code invoices to appropriate general ledger accounts and cost centers
• Working with vendors to resolve issues, respond to their queries and confirming open balances
• Reviewing and approving employee expense reports in accordance with company policies
• Reconciling expenses with corporate card payments and ensuring accuracy
• Create POs for company expenses
• Providing customer service to internal and external stakeholders, to best of their satisfaction
• Collaborating with the finance team to resolve any discrepancies or issues
• Maintaining proper documentation and records of all transactions
• Assisting with month-end and year-end financial close processes as needed
• Assist with preparation and filing 1099 forms at year-end
• Perform other duties as assigned by management

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting. Masters is a plus.
• Proven work experience as an Accountant or similar role
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices
• Proficiency in MS Excel
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years of experience as an AP specialist or an Accountant
• Experience working with Net Suite and Concur.
• Knowledge of financial regulations and compliance standards (GAAP as well as IFRS)
