Organization Election Board Pay $16.00 Pay Frequency Hourly Full Time / Part Time Part time Job Summary Under immediate supervision, assists in election preparation pertaining to the voting devices and perform Election Day service calls to ensure that each Tulsa County polling location is able to maintain the required operations by performing the following duties. Job Description All candidates conditionally offered transfer, promotion or initial hiring into a DOT/safety sensitive position shall submit to testing for drugs and alcohol and test negative before performing any job functions that are safety-sensitive or require a CDL. External job applicants with a confirmed positive drug or alcohol test result shall be denied employment and shall be required to wait one year before applying for another position within Tulsa County. Essential Job Functions Prepare each voting device for use on Election Day to accept ballots. Provide technical assistance and troubleshooting voting device issues. Help open and close a polling location. Make service calls to polling locations to deliver critical paperwork and/or technical assistance. Crowd control and guard the machines during Early Voting. Visit each polling location within the assigned route at least once/preferably twice. Perform other duties as assigned. Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Skill in: Driving in all weather conditions and effectively navigating Tulsa County Knowledge of: Tulsa County streets Ability to: Work long hours on Election Days Navigate Tulsa County or efficiently use a GPS device Read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos; write simple correspondence Effectively present information in one-on-one and small groups situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization Apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form Deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations Supervisory Responsibilities This job has no supervisory responsibilities Education and/or Experience High school diploma or general education degree (GED); plus one to three months related experience and/or training.
