Position Description:
The Business Office of the Division of Student Affairs is seeking to hire an Accountant III to support the University Housing and the Resident Experience (UHRE) department. The accountant performs all financial analysis and accounting operations for the University’s Foundation-owned resident properties (which are aside from normal University financial activities) working directly with Foundation stakeholders and lenders as well as University stakeholders. The accountant performs a variety of routine and non-routine accounting functions with limited supervision including analyzing financial information and preparing financial reports to determine or maintain records of assets, liabilities, profit and loss, and vacancy loss. The accountant also processes expense allocations, monthly accruals, and amortization of prepaid expenses; records adjustment journal entries; and performs general accounts analysis and reconciliations, including bank statements, accruals, and prepaid expenses.

Work Hours and Location
This is a full-time, exempt position with a 37.5-hour regular workweek. Additional work hours may be required based on department needs, programming, staffing, and/or scheduling. The primary work location for this position is at the Belknap Campus. Occasional overnight travel (for professional development or conferences) may be required.
