Manages the operations and assists in providing leadership and direction for effective, uniform, and economic accomplishments of the various sections to include the Mississippi Med-Com, Emergency Management, and intra-facility patient transport. To develop, manage, coordinate and implement programs related to Mississippi Med-Com, and air/ground transport. To perform all job duties in accordance with the medical centers purpose.
Education and Experience Required:
Degree (Associate's or Bachelor's) and four (4) years of healthcare, emergency communications, or emergency management experience including one (1) year of leadership experience.
Certifications, Licenses or Registration required:
Valid RN license or MS Paramedic BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIMS ICS 100 200, 700, and 800. Certification in Neonatal Resuscitation required post-hire within six (6) months.
Preferred Qualifications:
Two (2) years of supervisory experience in a communications center preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, leadership technique, and coordination of people and resources. Verbal and written communication skills. Interpersonal skills. Organizational skills. Skill in the use of personal computers and related software applications. Training and coaching skills. Ability to manage multiple complex tasks. Organizational skills. Ability to establish and maintain collaborative and effective working relationships.

Requires occasional exposure to unpleasant or disagreeable physical environment such as high noise level and exposure to heat and cold, occasional working hours significantly beyond regularly scheduled hours, occasional travelling to offsite locations, constant activities subject to significant volume changes of a seasonal/clinical nature, constant work produced subject to precise measures of quantity and quality, occasional bending, occasional lifting and carrying up to 25 pounds, occasional driving, frequent reaching, constant sitting, frequent standing, occasional twisting, and constant walking. (occasional-up to 20%, frequent-from 21% to 50%, constant-51% or more)
