Inventory Control Coordinator I
This is a full-time position that reports to the Materials Management Supervisor. This position is responsible for the daily operations of the Mail Services, Central Receiving and University Stores to include on Campus interdepartmental mail, US Postal, Bulk mail management & processing, support incoming & outgoing packages. This position works independently and with limited supervision. Completes mail processing and distribution-related duties for incoming and outgoing mail according to best practice to ensure timely receipt and quality handling of incoming and outgoing USPS and institutional mail. Meter outgoing mail by appropriate classes, rates, and methods of delivery to include Certified, registered, Insured, UPS, Federal Express. Deliver and pick up mail and packages using campus van and forklift. Completes mail shipment and delivery transactions and associated activities according to customer specifications and in conjunction with established pickup and delivery schedules, rules, and regulations. Processes notifications to appropriate entities to relay delivery status and provide excellent customer service.
Inventory Control Coordinator I (FP022) / Job Description
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
The Inventory Control Coordinator is responsible for coordinating University Stores, Central Receiving, and campus mail operations. Key responsibilities include receiving, inspecting, documenting, storing, and distributing freight and packages; sorting and delivering campus and U.S. mail; processing outgoing UPS and postal shipments; maintaining equipment; and maintaining accurate shipment, delivery, inventory, and chargeback records. This position works with the Notifii package-tracking system, verifies delivery information, investigates missing or damaged shipments, coordinates large or specialized deliveries, advises campus departments on shipping and mailing procedures, and operates delivery vehicles, pallet jacks, and forklifts in accordance with established health and safety practices.
The coordinator also manages warehouse inventory by monitoring stock levels, purchasing and replenishing supplies, organizing storage areas, coordinating physical inventory counts, and preparing inventory and operational reports. Additional duties include fulfilling departmental supply requisitions, processing departmental chargebacks, maintaining procedural documentation, training backup staff, preparing postal and customs forms, and supporting the accurate and efficient operation of campus shipping, receiving, stores, and mail services.

Compensation:
Minimum starting salary of $17.00/hour, commensurate with qualifications, available budget, and experience.
A six-month probationary period is required.
