Job Duties:

Join the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh Event and Conference Services team and play a key role in supporting guests attending EAA. As the EAA Reservationist and Operations Assistant at UW Oshkosh, you will manage guest reservations, coordinate communications, provide exceptional customer service, and help ensure a seamless lodging experience from booking through event execution. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented, customer-focused professional who thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment and enjoys contributing to one of UW Oshkosh's largest and most visible summer operations.

Schedule:

  • Hours may range from 7:45-4:30 p.m. Monday-Friday.
  • Work will be up to 20 hours per week from October-May and 40 hours per week during June and July. There will be a break period in August and September.

Key Job Responsibilities:

  • Utilize StarRez conference software to manage guest reservations, guest billing and event reporting.
  • Respond via phone and email correspondence to manage individual EAA guest reservations.
  • Effectively handle continuous communication with guests including complaints and concerns.
  • Prepare newsletter and email communication to be sent to EAA guests.
  • Coordinate with Event & Conference Services staff to ensure work is being done correctly and efficiently.
  • Provide exemplary customer service to all guests.
  • Assist with check in and execution of the EAA Airventure Lodging event the week of the event.
  • Mandatory availability during the 10 days of EAA lodging.

Starting at $17 per hour commensurate with experience

Required Qualifications:

  • Must offer a flexible schedule and be available during business hours-7:45-4:30 p.m Monday-Friday
  • Customer Service Experience
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft office suite
  • Ability and desire to learn on the job and be detail oriented.
  • Ability to multitask.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment with multiple competing deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • High level of computer and software proficiency, including the ability to independently navigate multiple software systems, troubleshoot routine issues, and quickly learn new technologies.
  • Prior supervisory experience
