The Manager, Field Reimbursement Training is responsible for the strategic development, implementation, and continuous improvement of training programs supporting Field Reimbursement Managers (FRMs) across multiple pharmaceutical manufacturer programs and therapeutic areas. This role ensures FRMs are equipped with the knowledge, skills, and competencies necessary to deliver exceptional reimbursement education, patient access support, and customer engagement while maintaining compliance with all client, regulatory, and company standards.

The Training Manager partners closely with Operations, Program Leadership, Client Services, Clinical, Compliance, Quality, Human Resources, Learning & Development, and Business Development to develop scalable onboarding, certification, and continuing education programs that support new product launches, existing programs, and organizational growth.

Essential Responsibilities

Training Strategy & Program Development

  • Develop and execute the enterprise-wide FRM training strategy.
  • Design, implement, and maintain standardized onboarding programs for Field and Virtual FRMs.
  • Develop role-specific learning paths for new hires, experienced FRMs, team leads, and managers.
  • Create scalable training solutions that support multiple manufacturer clients and therapeutic areas.
  • Lead the development of certification programs to ensure competency prior to independent customer engagement.
  • Continuously evaluate and enhance training content based on industry changes, client feedback, business needs, and reimbursement landscape updates.
  • Establish best practices that promote consistency across all FRM programs.

Customize training to support a wide variety of therapeutic areas and manufacturer-specific program requirements.

Product & Program Launch Support

Partner with cross-functional teams to support:

  • Provide ongoing coaching and mentorship for Field and Virtual FRMs.
  • Conduct field observations, virtual coaching sessions, and competency evaluations.
  • Identify performance gaps and develop targeted improvement plans.
  • Support leadership development initiatives for emerging managers and team leads.
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.

  • Privacy regulations
  • Industry compliance standards

Partner with Compliance and Quality teams to ensure training remains current and audit-ready.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
  • 5+ years of pharmaceutical patient access, reimbursement, specialty pharmacy, or healthcare services experience.
  • 5+ years supporting Field Reimbursement, Patient Access, Case Management, or related customer-facing programs.
  • 3+ years of training, coaching, learning and development, or leadership experience.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare reimbursement processes and patient access services.
  • Experience developing and delivering adult learning programs.
  • Excellent presentation, facilitation, coaching, and communication skills.
  • Strong organizational, project management, and leadership abilities.

Preferred

  • Experience supporting pharmaceutical manufacturer clients.
  • Product launch experience.
  • Experience across multiple therapeutic areas.
  • Leadership or people management experience.
  • Knowledge of CRM platforms (Salesforce, Veeva, or similar).
  • Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS).
  • Instructional design experience.

The successful Manager, Field Reimbursement Training will:

Physical Demands & Work Environment

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to sit for long periods of time, use hands to type, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. Prefer candidates who can type at least 35 words per minute with 97% accuracy.
  • Although very minimal, flexibility to travel as needed is preferred.
  • This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, etc.
