Accountant

ABOUT YOUR ROLE:

The accountant is responsible for supporting routine on-site accounting operations, month-end closing, regional reporting, and tax/statutory compliance for China entities. This role works closely with controllership, tax, and shared services teams to ensure accurate financial reporting, timely tax filings, and effective internal control support, while actively participating in system rollouts and process improvement initiatives.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:

Tax & Statutory Compliance :

• Prepare tax filing related reports and submissions, and handle monthly tax payments.
• Prepare and submit monthly statistical report filings.
• Coordinate and respond to routine inquiries from tax authorities, statistical bureaus, and other government authorities.
• Support annual Corporate Income Tax (CIT) filing and tax reconciliation.
• Support and coordinate TP related matters with tax team.
• Assist in tax setup, deregistration, and tax risk assessments to strengthen tax and audit compliance and governance.

Accounting Operations & Period-End Close:

• Support and process routine on-site accounting tasks.
• Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end accounting closing processes.
• Prepare regional accounting reports and China statutory‌ reports.

System & Process Support:

• Support Coupa-related tasks, bank and POS-related tasks, and VAT invoice handling.
• Support Controllership non-trade payment processes.

Reporting & Transition:

• Take on more corporate reporting work in compliance with US GAAP, tax reporting, and BPC reporting.
• Demonstrate high agility and proactively propose solutions to address new issues and challenges.

WHAT WE WILL BE LOOKING FOR IN YOU:

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in accounting/Finance
• Experience: 2+ years in accounting
• Good MS software skills such as Excel skills
• Ability to work across cultures and departments, ability to build relationships
• Ability to resolve issues and gain alignment
• Able to work under pressure with multiple tasks simultaneously while meeting tight deadlines
• Language skills: fluent in English
• Attention to details/accuracy
