Job Description
The Change Management Specialist is a key role focused on collaborating with project teams and business stakeholders to drive successful adoption of change initiatives. This role involves developing tools, frameworks, and metrics to standardize and monitor change efforts while providing direct support to leaders and teams through strategy development, stakeholder engagement, readiness assessments, and communication planning. By fostering alignment, managing resistance, and promoting continuous improvement, the Specialist ensures that organizational change initiatives are effectively implemented and sustained, contributing to long-term business success.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Driving Change Initiatives
- Change Strategy Development: Collaborate with business and project leaders to design and implement robust change management strategies that align with organizational/project objectives, ensuring smooth and effective adoption of initiatives.
- Stakeholder Engagement and Management: Identify and actively engage key stakeholders, ensuring their needs, concerns, and feedback are addressed throughout the change process to build trust and drive alignment.
- Change Readiness Assessment: Evaluate the organization’s readiness for change by gathering insights through surveys, interviews, and focus groups, and use the findings to tailor change strategies effectively.
- Impact Analysis: Perform detailed impact assessments to anticipate potential challenges and risks, develop proactive mitigation strategies. Conduct comprehensive stakeholder analyses to address concerns and foster alignment.
- Leadership Coaching and Support: Provide coaching and resources to leaders to equip them with the skills and confidence to effectively lead their teams through change initiatives.
- Resistance Management: Proactively address resistance to change by identifying root causes, developing strategies to mitigate concerns, and ensuring a positive and collaborative approach to overcoming challenges.
- Communication Planning: Develop and deliver communication plans and materials that effectively convey the purpose, benefits, and impact of change initiatives. Where appropriate, liaise with Corporate Communications to ensure alignment with organizational messaging standards and guidelines.
- Learning and Support: Partner with Victaulic’s training team to create employee training programs and materials. Additionally, when necessary, independently develop and deliver targeted training resources to address specific needs and support employees in adapting to change.
- Continuous Improvement and Innovation: Encourage a culture of continuous learning by conducting retrospectives with key stakeholders to identify lessons learned and incorporating these insights into future change efforts.
- Best Practices and Industry Trends: Stay current with emerging trends, tools, and methodologies in change management, leveraging these insights to refine strategies and maintain industry-leading practices.
- Feedback Loops: Create and maintain effective feedback loops during and after the implementation of change initiatives to ensure continuous improvement and sustained adoption.
EDUCATION
- Bachelor's Degree/College Diploma in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Adult Education, or Change Management
- Certified Change Management Professional (Prosci) or similar certification preferred
- Minimum 5 to 8 years of progressive experience in change management, organizational development, or Human Resources
- Proven track record of successfully leading change initiatives from inception to completion
- Exceptional written and verbal communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills with extensive experience creating engaging presentations and training material; ability to influence and communicate across the company at all levels
- Proficiency in change management methodologies and tools (e.g. ADKAR, Prosci etc.)
- Exceptional project and program management experience
- Confident, energetic, and self-motivated individual who takes initiative and has a strong level of passion and desire to succeed.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced changing environment while effectively managing changing priorities.
- Able to navigate a complex, cross-functional organization to deliver results.
- Strong MS office skills (including MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, SharePoint, and Teams)
