Job Description

The Corporate Communications Manager supports the planning, coordination and execution of corporate communications activities across Visa's Nordics & Baltics cluster. Working closely with the Head of Corporate Communications and a broad range of stakeholders, this role helps deliver communications programs that strengthen Visa's reputation, support business priorities and ensure consistent messaging across internal and external audiences.

This is a hands-on but strategic role suited to an ambitious, highly organized communications professional who excels at managing multiple projects simultaneously, coordinating across teams, and driving execution with quality. Success in the role requires strong project management skills, attention to detail, and the ability to navigate a matrixed international business environment.

The role works across the Nordics and Baltics, partnering with colleagues in Communications, Government Affairs, Marketing, Sales, Product and other functions across the region and Europe. The successful candidate will also be part of Visa's broader European Corporate Communications team, a network of approximately 40 communications professionals collaborating across markets and disciplines to drive reputation, thought leadership and business impact across the region.

In this role, you will:

  • Manage and execute communications projects from planning through delivery, ensuring activities are completed on time and to a high standard.
  • Coordinate PR campaigns, announcements, and communications initiatives across multiple markets and stakeholder groups.
  • Draft and support the development of press releases, media materials, key messages, briefing documents, and communications plans.
  • Produce, publish, and measure content across external and internal communications channels, including LinkedIn and internal employee communications platforms.
  • Manage relationships with agency partners and external suppliers, ensuring effective project delivery and reporting.
  • Respond to media enquiries, support proactive media engagement, and oversee media monitoring and reporting.
  • Support executive visibility programs, including preparing briefing materials for senior leaders and speaking engagements.
  • Partner with communications colleagues across Europe to localize and implement regional communications initiatives.
  • Contribute to issues management, reputation management, and crisis preparedness activities.
  • Track, measure, and report communications outcomes and performance metrics.
  • Support governance, planning, and budget administration processes where required.
  • Maintain communications calendars, project plans, and stakeholder alignment across multiple ongoing initiatives.

We are operating a hybrid working model, with the expectation 3 days per week in the Stockholm office.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you'll:

  • Be highly organized, structured, and detail-oriented, with a strong track record of managing multiple communications projects and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Bring a proven track record in corporate communications, public relations, corporate affairs, or related functions, gained either in-house or agency-side. Experience in regulated industries would be an advantage.
  • Possess strong project management and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to coordinate workstreams across diverse teams and markets.
  • Be a GenAI-native communicator who naturally leverages a range of AI and large language model solutions to enhance productivity, strengthen decision-making, accelerate content development, and simplify complex communications and business challenges.
  • Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and and at least one Scandinavian language. Proficiency in an additional Scandinavian language would be considered an advantage.
  • Be an effective writer, capable of producing clear, concise, and audience-appropriate content across a range of formats.
  • Has experience producing audiovisual organic content: from media recording to editing and distribution.
  • Thrive in a fast-paced environment and maintain high standards under pressure and competing priorities.
  • Be proactive, commercially aware, and able to work independently while collaborating effectively with colleagues across different functions and geographies.
  • Show sound judgement, attention to detail, and commitment to high-quality execution.
  • Have experience working in a matrixed, international corporate environment.
  • Familiarity with payments, financial services, technology or other business-to-business sectors would be considered advantageous.
