Role summary: The (USA) Merchant leads category strategy and financial management for a moderately complex category, driving pricing, promotion, and supplier negotiations to achieve business objectives. This team leads supplier management, pricing, and promotional initiatives while overseeing profit and loss responsibilities. They manage team performance and development, fostering a results-oriented environment. Utilizing data insights and strategic planning, the team supports the execution of business plans that enhance product assortment and customer experience across channels. • Develop and execute category strategies aligned with long-term business objectives and market trends.
• Manage profit and loss responsibilities, including pricing, promotions, and inventory decisions to meet financial targets.
• Lead supplier negotiations, establish terms, and monitor supplier performance to ensure profitability and compliance.
• Oversee channel strategy and collaborate with supply chain to optimize product availability and customer experience.
• Guide team performance through coaching, development, and clear communication of priorities and expectations.
• Utilize data analysis to inform decisions, drive innovation, and improve category performance.
• Support execution of merchandising plans, modular layouts, and promotional features across channels.

What you'll bring:

• Proven experience in category strategy development and execution for moderately complex categories.
• Strong financial management skills, including profit and loss ownership and budget forecasting.
• Ability to analyze competition, customer behavior, and industry trends to inform strategic decisions.
• Expertise in supplier management, including negotiation and performance tracking.
• Demonstrated team management capabilities, including coaching, development, and performance evaluation.
• Proficiency in leveraging data analysis tools to generate insights and influence business outcomes.
• Effective decision-making skills with a focus on customer-centric and omni-channel strategies.

The annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00 - $180,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
