Frontend Engineer

MID-LEVEL FRONTEND ENGINEER

At Beyond Sports, we create cutting-edge digital experiences that bring sports to life. From real-time data integrations to immersive fan interfaces, our products power web and mobile applications used by teams, tournaments and global audiences.

We’re looking for a Mid-Level Frontend Engineer to help design, build and improve these experiences. You’ll combine strong frontend fundamentals with a collaborative mindset and an interest in building high-quality digital products.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

As part of a cross-functional squad, you’ll work closely with engineers, designers and product managers to build and deliver high-quality frontend solutions.

- Build scalable and maintainable frontend features using modern technologies

- Develop high-quality, testable code using established best practices and patterns

- Contribute to frontend architecture and technical decisions

- Work closely with engineers, designers, product managers and external partners

- Take ownership of features from development through to production

- Participate in technical discussions, refinement sessions and code reviews

- Support the delivery of client requirements by translating designs and requirements into effective technical solutions

- Champion good practices around performance, accessibility and developer experience

- Contribute ideas for improving tools, processes and technologies

- Support releases across Dev, Test, Staging and Production environments

- Work with other teams to manage dependencies and deliver features successfully

- Share knowledge and support other engineers within the team

WHAT YOU BRING

You’re a strong communicator who enjoys working collaboratively and solving technical problems within a fast-moving product environment.

STRONG EXPERIENCE WITH:

- React and component-based architecture

- TypeScript and modern JavaScript (ES6+)

- Semantic HTML and modern CSS

- Responsive design and cross-browser/device testing

- Git and version control workflows

- REST and GraphQL integrations

- Working with third-party tools and services, such as video platforms

- Writing clear technical documentation

COMFORTABLE WITH:

- Package and dependency management using NPM

- Build tools such as Rollup and Gulp

- Automated testing practices

- Performance optimisation techniques

- Accessibility standards including WCAG

- SEO best practices

- CI/CD pipelines and deployment workflows

- SSO integrations such as OIDC

- Experience working on consumer-facing digital products

- Experience contributing to technical working groups or engineering communities

- Experience within sports, media or fan engagement products
