The Field Trainer – Operations & Maintenance develops and elevates operational and maintenance capability across the field through coaching, development, and curriculum support. This role does not have direct reporting responsibility for Market Trainers; instead, it serves as a subject-matter and development resource focused on improving Market Trainer effectiveness, instructional quality, and technical consistency. The Field Trainer supports Market Trainers through coaching, observation, curriculum refinement, and hands-on field engagement. The role also supports frontline teams during new site openings and targeted performance interventions. This is a highly travel-based role.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the development of Market Trainers through coaching, mentoring, and skill reinforcement.
- Conduct coaching observations and joint training sessions to improve instructional delivery and technical accuracy.
- Provide structured feedback and development recommendations to Market Trainers and field leadership.
- Reinforce curriculum intent, training standards, and consistency across markets.
- Serve as a technical and operational resource without direct supervisory responsibility.
- Partner with Instructional Design and field leadership to refine and improve training curriculum.
- Validate training content against real-world field execution and equipment conditions.
- Support the development of job aids, SOP-based training, certifications, and hands-on training materials.
- Provide feedback on curriculum gaps, clarity, and field usability.
- Deliver hands-on training for operations and maintenance teams as needed.
- Support onboarding and retraining to address performance gaps or periods of transition.
- Provide targeted support during new site openings in partnership with Market Trainers.
- Reinforce safety practices, wash quality standards, and preventive maintenance behaviors.
- Reinforce company SOPs, operational standards, and best practices.
- Support the rollout of new equipment, technology, chemicals, and process updates.
- Participate in pilot programs and translate field feedback into curriculum improvements.
Travel Requirements
- Significant travel required (typically 60–80%).
- Travel includes multi-day market visits, trainer ride-alongs, and continuous people development.
- Flexible schedule required, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays, as business needs require.
Qualifications
- 3–5+ years of experience in car wash operations, maintenance, training, or field support roles.
- Strong hands-on knowledge of tunnel operations, equipment, safety, and wash quality standards.
- Demonstrated experience of coaching, mentoring, or supporting trainer and/or leader development.
- Ability to influence without direct authority.
- Willingness and ability to travel up to 75% as required.

- Improved onboarding outcomes and operational consistency across markets.
- Positive feedback from Market Trainers, field leadership, Operations, and Maintenance.
Base Pay Range
$80,000.00 - $120,000.00
