Turbine One is the frontline perception company. We deliver decision advantage, better situational awareness, and stronger force protection for customers who rely on timely, high-quality intelligence. Our customers value how we automate the right portions of the military intelligence cycle while keeping humans in the loop. We are a small, fast-moving, high-performance startup backed by leading DefenseTech venture capitalists.
This is a role for an experienced product engineer who wants to shape product direction as much as implementation. Working directly with technical leadership and in close partnership with design and product management, you will help define what gets built, how it gets built, and how it serves Intelligence and Security staff around the world. The environment is hands-on, autonomous, and built for people who are comfortable moving through ambiguity, making thoughtful tradeoff decisions, and building with urgency.
Responsibilities
- Deliver product experiences built on the T1 Artificial Intelligence and Networking platforms, serving the needs of Intelligence and Security staff around the world.
- Collaborate with Design and Product Management on feature design, delivery schedule and trade off decision points.
- Be a product owner - there are no tickets to crunch here, be an active builder and designer, shaping the direction of T1’s code and features.
- Build and innovate on our front end architecture and design system which is a Vue 3 client on a Golang server, with a MongoDB storage layer.
Desired Experience:
- 8+ Years working in Product Engineering or Front End Client development positions.
- Reactive framework experience (Vue, React, Unity etc)
- Experience with Golang and MongoDB.
- Experience with API design and best practices for REST and GraphQL
- You have demonstrable experience working through ambiguity, navigating uncertain product domains, or becoming involved cross functionally.
- You’ve been involved in technical design review processes, review boards, or similar thoughtful exercises on technical design considerations.
- Experience collaborating with CTO or engineering leadership.
- Experience in CIP/COP tools
Startup Culture Expectations:
- We’re a small, fully remote, team and everything is our responsibility.
- Our team thrives on autonomy, trust and solid communication.
- Everyone on the Team needs to be very comfortable with constant change, moving fast, sharing failures, embracing grit, and building things themselves. Most startups fail and no one will come to save us.
Eligibility:
- Must be eligible to obtain a clearance with the U.S. government.
