Xscape Photonics is helping customers escape the scaling limits of Agentic AI hardware by enabling machines to think faster. Spun out of groundbreaking silicon photonics work at Columbia University, the company has developed a scalable multi-color laser platform to solve the escape bandwidth bottlenecks limiting GPU-to-GPU and GPU-to-memory interfaces. With a leadership team having multiple decades of experience shipping photonics products and backed by investors including Nvidia and Cisco, the company has recently begun sampling its first technology validation kits and is currently engaged with pilot customers for its first product launch.

About the Role:

• Market Strategy & MRD Ownership: Define the product roadmap and author comprehensive Market Requirements Documents (MRDs) that address bandwidth bottlenecks in GPU-to-GPU and GPU-to-memory interfaces.
• Lifecycle & Customer Management: Steer the product through its entire lifecycle, managing early sampling engagements and driving adoption with pilot customers.
• Business Case Development: Align product cost, power, and performance targets with OCI-MSA (Optical Compute Interconnect - Multi-Source Agreement) standards to ensure market competitiveness.
• Go-to-Market Execution: Position the product against legacy technologies by highlighting our unique silicon photonics innovations, which originated from groundbreaking work at Columbia University.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of product management or technical marketing experience within the semiconductor, photonics, or optical networking sectors.
• Prior product leadership experience at tier-1 semiconductor or networking companies (e.g., Intel, Broadcom, Marvell, or Cisco) is highly preferred.
• Deep commercial understanding of high-speed Optical Links, Optical Engines (OE), and OCI-MSA architectures.
• Strong technical communication skills, with a proven ability to bridge complex link-level concepts across multi-disciplinary engineering groups and external customers.

Cross-Functional Collaboration, including:

• Engineering Alignment: Partner directly with the engineering leadership team—specifically the core Link Architect—to translate the MRDs into highly detailed Product Requirements Documents (PRDs).
• Ecosystem Strategy: Collaborate with internal technical teams and OSAT partners to ensure the commercial viability and supply chain readiness of advanced 2.5D integration and co-packaged optical systems.
• Value Proposition: Translate complex optoelectronic advantages, such as achieving 800G-1.6T+ per lane performance, into compelling and digestible customer value propositions.
