Role
We are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to join our team. This is a Hybrid role, reporting to the Senior Manager, Software Development Engineering in the Exposure Management & Security Operations department. As a Senior DevOps Engineer for the SecOps product group at Zscaler, you will own and evolve the cloud infrastructure, reliability, and deployment ecosystem across multiple SaaS cybersecurity products. In this position, you will drive a major impact on production maturity, scalability, developer productivity, and product integration as the organization continues to grow.
What you’ll do (Role Expectations)
- Own and improve cloud infrastructure for scalable, reliable SaaS cybersecurity products
- Build and maintain IaC using Terraform and Terragrunt
- Manage production AWS EKS clusters, Kubernetes workloads, and cloud services
- Develop and optimize CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions and GitLab
- Partner with teams to improve reliability, automation, developer productivity, and incident readiness

What We’re Looking for (Minimum Qualifications)
- Demonstrated curiosity and active exploration of AI tools, with a proven history of integrating new technologies to enhance daily workflows and augment problem-solving
- Demonstrated experience as a DevOps Engineer, Platform Engineer, or SRE in production environments, with deep expertise in AWS cloud services
- Comprehensive experience managing production Kubernetes workloads, specifically AWS EKS, Docker containerization, and Helm charts
- Extensive hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and Terragrunt, combined with CI/CD automation via GitHub Actions and GitLab CI
- Practical knowledge of GitOps methodologies with ArgoCD, alongside observability tools like Grafana, Datadog, OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, and Alertmanager
- Strong programming and scripting skills in Python, Go, or similar languages
What Will Make You Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
- Experience with AI-assisted development and automation tools such as Claude Code, Devin, or similar modern tools
- B.Sc. in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent practical experience
- Experience with AWS AI and data services (Bedrock, SageMaker, Glue), cost optimization, security automation, or advanced SRE practices
