Role

We are looking for a Senior Software Development Engineer to join our Platform & Reliability Engineering department in Bangalore, reporting to the Director of Platform & Reliability Engineering. In this role, you will play a key role in ensuring the quality, scalability, and reliability of ZDX solutions. You will lead automation initiatives to build robust frameworks, validate feature functionality, optimize system performance, and champion an AI-first approach to development. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to cloud-based systems that process large volumes of data while delivering world-class user experiences.

What you’ll do (Role Expectations)

• Design and develop scalable, reusable, and maintainable test automation frameworks using an AI-first development methodology
• Develop and execute end-to-end tests to ensure seamless operation of ZDX components, including cloud services, analytics dashboards, APIs, and user-facing applications
• Collaborate with engineering and DevOps teams to integrate testing pipelines into CI/CD workflows, ensuring faster release cycles without compromising quality
• Utilize analytics tools, logs, and testing outputs to identify bottlenecks and troubleshoot issues systematically
• Continuously refine testing methodologies to improve coverage, detect issues earlier, and maximize efficiency

What We’re Looking for (Minimum Qualifications)

• Foundational understanding of AI/ML technologies and experience leveraging, securing, or positioning AI-driven solutions to optimize outcomes within your functional domain
• 4+ years of experience in automation testing, preferably within cloud or SaaS environments
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or JavaScript for building automation and testing solutions, alongside familiarity with testing tools and performance analysis
• Experience with cloud platforms including AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud alongside containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes
• Experience integrating testing workflows into CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar systems

What Will Make You Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)

• Familiarity with various testing methodologies, automation frameworks, and infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tools
• Good understanding of data platforms, SQL, and ETL frameworks to support scalable data ingestion, transformation, and querying
• Solid understanding of networking protocols, diagnostic tools like Wireshark or TCPDump
