Role

We are looking for a Staff Software Development Engineer to join our team. This is a hybrid role based in Bangalore or Hyderabad ,India reporting to the Senior Manager, Software Engineering in the Engineering department. You will join the team that built the world’s largest cloud security platform from the ground up, enabling organizations worldwide to harness speed and agility with a cloud-first strategy. With more than 100 patents and 15 million users across 185 countries, you will bring your vision to a team of experts dedicated to enhancing our multitenant architecture and global footprint.

What you’ll do (Role Expectations)

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams during the design phase and maintain cloud-based software solutions.
  • Test at scale, utilizing coding proficiency in Python to automate testing procedures.
  • Take ownership of diagnosing and resolving customer issues, including recreating production issues and providing necessary workarounds for resolution.
  • Provide critical insights to the development team to enhance the debug feature of the product.
  • Develop and maintain robust and scalable test automation frameworks for our cloud security products.
  • Integrate automated APIs into CI/CD systems (Jenkins/GitLab).

What We’re Looking for (Minimum Qualifications)

  • 4+ years of experience building Python-based frameworks (preferably PyTest) for API, protocol, and system tests to drive reliability and coverage across microservices.
  • Experience building browser automation (Playwright/Selenium) for BA user journeys; capability to integrate synthetic identities, MFA, and just-in-time privileged access.
  • Experience integrating automation into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins/GitLab), implementing shift-left gating, test data provisioning, and parallel execution and experience with Cloud and Kubernetes ecosystems (AWS/GCP/Azure, Docker, Helm, Terraform).
  • Hands-on proficiency with HTTP/HTTPS/TLS, certificates, and debugging network flows using tools like tcpdump and Wireshark.
  • Foundational understanding of AI/ML technologies and experience leveraging, securing, or positioning AI-driven solutions to optimize outcomes within your functional domain.

What Will Make You Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)

  • Practical experience using Identity Providers (IdP) such as Okta, Azure AD, or Ping, including configuring SAML/OIDC apps, MFA policies, groups, and SCIM provisioning for test environments.
  • Knowledge and hands-on experience with Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA) architectures.
