- The hourly base pay range for this position in California is $24.00 - $28.00. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Airgas considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

The Cylinder Inventory Coordinator will be responsible for the accuracy in inventory of full and empty cylinders and the raw liquids at the facility while managing the levels of inventory so the branch has the necessary inventory to fulfill orders but not so much inventory that it becomes dead stock.
- Responsible for adherence to company policies including safety and the use of personal protective equipment.
- Communicates professionally, respectfully, and effectively in both oral and written forms at all levels.
- Verifies and maintains accuracy of all part numbers and verification of cylinders.
- Keeps the database updated on inventory levels and adjusts target levels based on seasonality.
- Ensure the separation of empties from full and in-use cylinders
- Counts in and receives incoming cylinders, and assists the Distribution Supervisor with trip load verification for the drivers delivering cylinders to customers
- Maintains database with tickets, production data input and changes, cylinder movements, and raw material receipts in SAP on a frequent and daily basis.
- Place and process orders through the AirGas.com/SAP system.
- Document cylinder gas inventory usage using the required tools
- Comply with all applicable facility guidelines, procedures, and all applicable Airgas Standards and regulatory guidelines including, but not limited to: SAFECOR, HS&E, CGMP, OSHA, etc.
- Respond to emergencies to ensure an uninterrupted supply of products.
- Conducts daily cylinder audits as scheduled to ensure the accuracy of inventory
- Monitors and receives cylinder gas deliveries to ensure accurate delivery documentation is completed.
- Conduct a full inventory count of empty cylinders at specified intervals
- Coordinates with the inside sales team and the plants to ensure seamless follow-through with customer service requirements and expectations.

Required Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent;
- Two to five years of related experience required and/or equivalent combination of education and experience in industrial retail, inside sales, customer service, and/or inventory control-related position
- Excellent oral and written communication skills;
- Well organized; creative problem solving; strong service orientation;
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to influence, and work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Make initial evaluations and then obtain proper assistance when confronted with problem situations
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Candidates must have valid employment authorization in the U.S. and must not require visa sponsorship now or in the future. This position is not open for non-immigrant visa sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications:
- SAP or similar software system experience.
- Intermediate skills in operating a computer.
- Experience with Google Products (Gmail, Sheets, etc.)
- Bachelor's Degree preferred in business management, finance, or similar required length & type of experience.
- Prior packaged gas industry experience
