Electrical Supervisor- Egypt

Supervision & Quality

§ Supervise cable pulling, termination, switchgear/transformer installation and WTG electrical works against approved drawings and specifications.

§ Witness and record cable testing (insulation resistance, continuity), torque checks and other electrical ITPs, maintaining accurate inspection and test records.

§ Oversee site acceptance testing (SAT), pre-commissioning and energisation of electrical assets in coordination with the commissioning team and the turbine OEM.

§ Identify non-conformances and coordinate corrective actions with the electrical works contractor.

HSE Compliance

§ Enforce electrical safety procedures, LOTO and permit-to-work systems for all electrical activities under supervision.

§ Conduct toolbox talks and site safety walks focused on electrical hazards, including live works, work at height on WTG towers and confined space in substations.

§ Stop unsafe work immediately and escalate concerns to the Electrical Manager and HSE team.

Progress & Reporting

§ Track daily and weekly progress of electrical works against the construction schedule and report deviations to the Electrical Manager.

§ Maintain site records, daily reports and progress measurement to support contractor certification.

§ Support tracking of cables, transformers, switchgear and other electrical equipment and materials on site.

Coordination

§ Coordinate electrical works interfaces with the civil and E&I supervisors and other site disciplines.

§ Support pre-commissioning and testing activities alongside the commissioning team.

§ Assist the Electrical Manager in contractor meetings and technical inspections.

Qualification:

§ Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent technical qualification); registration with the Egyptian Syndicate of Engineers preferred.

EXPERIENCE:

§ Minimum 10 years of experience in electrical works supervision on infrastructure or energy construction sites.

§ At least 5 years of direct site experience on wind power projects in Egypt.

§ Egyptian national required; fluent Arabic and working English.

Job Specific Skills:

§ Practical knowledge of MV/LV cable installation and testing, switchgear/transformer installation and WTG electrical systems.

§ Ability to read electrical drawings and single-line diagrams.

§ Working knowledge of electrical safety, LOTO and permit-to-work systems.

§ Basic MS Office and site reporting tools.

§ Strong on-site communication and problem-solving skills; fluent Arabic, working English.
