ABOUT THE TEAM
The Hardware Platform Organization is Anduril's central hardware engineering org. We build the shared technologies, tools, and infrastructure that power hardware development across every Anduril division, from actuators and propulsion to batteries, avionics, rocket motors, and test operations. Our teams set engineering standards, run development manufacturing and test sites, and develop core technology products that ship across multiple product lines.
ABOUT THE JOB
We are looking for a Configuration Manager to join our team. This role owns configuration management and change control across critical Anduril hardware programs. You will define and maintain product baselines, drive engineering change processes, and serve as the focal point for configuration identification, status accounting, and audits in a fast-paced design, engineering, and manufacturing environment.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Own end-to-end configuration management for assigned programs, including configuration identification, change control, status accounting, and audit activities.
- Define and maintain product baselines (requirements baseline, EBOM, MBOM, SBOM) in Teamcenter, ensuring compliance with industry and organizational standards.
- Manage the engineering change process from initiation through implementation: document change requests, compile impact analyses, drive reviews through CCB/CRB, and track execution.
- Facilitate configuration control forums including Change Control Boards and Technical Review Boards, setting agendas and ensuring decisions are recorded and communicated.
- Lead and coordinate configuration audits (FCA/PCA), providing direction before, during, and after audit events to prevent and resolve issues.
- Partner with Configuration Management Analysts to build and maintain status accounting dashboards that track ECRs, ECNs, and implementation status.
- Provide guidance to engineering teams on Teamcenter workflows for engineering release, part revisions, BOM updates, and documentation modifications.
- Perform periodic audits of as-built records against product definition data to ensure configuration accuracy across the product lifecycle.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline (Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace, Manufacturing, or related field), or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
- 5+ years of direct product configuration management experience, including product structure, parts, drawings, and requirements management.
- Experience working in high-complexity, high-rate production environments (aerospace, automotive, medical devices, or similar).
- Familiarity with configuration management standards and practices (EIA-649/C, MIL-HDBK-61B).
- Experience with PLM and/or data management toolsets for configuration management of complex hardware products.
- Able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret security clearance.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Prior experience in the aerospace or defense industry.
- Hands-on experience with Teamcenter (including Teamcenter Requirements and Teamcenter Quality), Confluence, and Jira.
- Proficiency in technical writing of configuration management processes and procedures.
- Database skills including SQL queries for configuration data analysis.
- CM2 certification or equivalent configuration management certification.
