ABOUT THE JOB
As a Senior Procurement Operations Manager on our Deployed Programs team within Centralized Procurement, you will be the tip of the spear for procurement performance across Anduril's business lines. You will embed directly with division procurement teams, diagnose execution gaps, and drive measurable improvement in supplier delivery, PO management, and buyer effectiveness. This is not a headquarters role that reviews dashboards from a distance. You will be on the ground with buyers, in supplier meetings, and in the weeds of ERP data, solving problems that directly determine whether hardware reaches the production floor on time. Centralized Procurement owns the playbook: the standards, the training, the KPI framework, and the escalation authority that keep procurement operating consistently across every division. The Tiger Team is how that playbook comes to life. You will pilot the model in early divisions, then expand it across the enterprise, shifting from embedded execution to coaching as each business line matures. If you want a high visibility role where your work directly shapes how a fast scaling defense technology company buys, builds, and delivers, this is your mission.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
Embed and Drive Execution • Deploy into business line procurement teams during pilot and expansion phases. Pair directly with buyers and supply chain leaders to assess current state, identify gaps, and stand up the standard operating model. • Lead weekly OTD drumbeat reviews at the division level. Own the agenda, drive root cause analysis on past due POs and supplier delivery failures, and ensure corrective actions convert into measurable improvement. • Coach buyers on core procurement execution: PR to PO conversion within the two day standard, PO acknowledgement follow up, DPAS compliance, and supplier performance management. • Conduct hands on ERP and MRP work alongside buyers. Pull on order reports, validate promise dates, flag at risk deliveries, and ensure data hygiene in the procurement system of record.
Operationalize the Centralized Playbook • Roll out standard procurement processes, templates, and escalation frameworks so every division operates from the same baseline. Adapt the playbook to local program realities without compromising the standard. • Stand up and maintain the KPI reporting cadence for assigned divisions. Track and report on the full metrics framework: PR to PO conversion, PO acknowledgement rates, past due PO lines, receiving issue ticket closure, invoice resolution, DPAS PO OTD, and supplier OTD. • Execute the escalation and remediation framework. At Tier 1, provide coaching. At Tier 2, deploy as embedded support for 30 day improvement sprints. At Tier 3, support centralized oversight of the affected function until performance is restored. • Benchmark procurement performance across divisions. Identify which teams are ahead, document what works, and propagate best practices through the Peer Learning Network.
Build the Foundation • Deliver buyer training aligned to centralized standards: ACD code compliance, procurement policy and governance, War Chest navigation, and KPI reporting workflows. • Support the buildout of automated reporting dashboards and the On Order Report (OOR) so divisions move from manual, weekly data pulls to machine generated, daily visibility. • Contribute to the career framework and professional development standards that define what good looks like in a buyer at every level, from IC2 through Senior Buyer. • Support hiring decisions as the central quality bar holder. Evaluate procurement candidates, pressure test technical and behavioral competency, and ensure new hires ramp through a consistent onboarding standard.
