ABOUT THE ROLE

Anduril is building Arsenal-1, its first hyperscale manufacturing facility, just south of Columbus, Ohio in Pickaway County. Arsenal-1 is redefining the scale and speed at which autonomous systems and weapons can be produced for the United States and its allies. It is a monumental step toward rebuilding America's defense industrial base and strengthening deterrence.

Roadrunner is a cutting-edge VTOL counter-UAS interceptor for autonomous air defense. It rapidly detects, tracks, and neutralizes hostile unmanned aircraft to protect critical assets and personnel. The Roadrunner team sets the standard for building the future at Arsenal-1 (Ashville, OH). New team members train under our world-class manufacturing team at Anduril HQ in Costa Mesa, CA for three months before bringing that standard back to Ohio.

This role requires relocation to Costa Mesa for a 3-month training program (housing, transportation, and related costs provided), and then relocation to Arsenal-1 in Ohio.

ABOUT THE JOB

You will be the technical authority who architects factory-scale manufacturing for Roadrunner at hyperscale, setting the standard the whole line follows. You will own the hardest technical problems, design how we build at rate, and multiply the capability of the ME team.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Architect the industrialization of Roadrunner at hyperscale, including factory layout, capacity models, and rate strategy.
• Set DFM, DFX, and process standards that others follow, and drive the hardest technical problems to ground.
• Own the manufacturing-systems backbone, including MES rollout, quality systems, and build documentation at scale.
• Lead root-cause on the most systemic, complex issues and prevent recurrence across products.
• Mentor and grow the ME team and multiply the bench's technical capability.
• Partner across design, quality, PM, and supply chain to define the operating model, working from first principles amid ambiguity.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• 12+ years in manufacturing or design of electromechanical hardware, including rate and scale production.
• Has architected a production line or factory, or led a major systems rollout such as MES, and is a recognized technical authority.
• Deep DFM, tooling, and capacity or factory-scale expertise, with strong influence without authority.
• Degree in a technical field preferred, or equivalent hands-on manufacturing experience.
• U.S. Citizen. Willing to relocate to Ohio (Arsenal-1) after the 3-month Costa Mesa training.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Aircraft, aerospace, and defense experience, plus factory-standup experience.
• Lean Six Sigma; J-STD-001, IPC-A-610, and IPC/WHMA-A-620; software scripting.

US Salary Range

$144,000—$191,000 USD

The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary offer may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations.
