Senior UI Engineer

ABOUT THE ROLE:

We're looking for a UI Engineer to help design and build the next generation of user experiences at Atolio. You'll work closely with product, design, and engineering teams to create intuitive, high-performance applications that power AI-driven workflows.

This is a hands-on engineering role focused on building complex web applications, frontend architecture, and user-facing product experiences. You'll contribute across the full product development lifecycle, from technical design and implementation to performance optimization and user experience improvements.

You'll join a modern engineering environment that embraces the latest technologies, AI-assisted development workflows, and rapid iteration.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

- Design and build high-quality user interfaces for complex web applications for responsive platforms like desktop and mobile.

- Develop scalable frontend architecture and reusable component systems.

- Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to deliver end-to-end features.

- Build user experiences that leverage AI and agent-driven workflows.

- Use modern AI-assisted and agentic coding tools to improve development velocity and code quality.

- Participate in technical design discussions, architecture reviews, and engineering planning.

- Optimize application performance, accessibility, responsiveness, and usability.

- Contribute to frontend standards, best practices, and code reviews.

- Help shape the future direction of our product and user experience.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience with a strong focus on frontend development.

- Experience building modern web applications using React, Vue, Angular, or a similar frontend framework.

- Strong proficiency with JavaScript and TypeScript.

- Experience designing and implementing scalable frontend architecture.

- Strong understanding of component-based development and state management patterns.

- Experience working closely with product and design teams.

- Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools and modern engineering workflows.

- Experience with modern build tooling such as Vite.

- Experience writing and maintaining end-to-end tests with Playwright, Cypress, or similar frameworks.

- Strong communication and collaboration skills.

- Ability to thrive in a fast-moving startup environment.

NICE TO HAVE

- Experience with Svelte or interest in learning it quickly.
