Highlights:

Summary: The Therapeutic Recreation Specialist shall be responsible to plan and implement the recreational therapy program at Crossbridge. This individual will function as a part of an interdisciplinary team and is responsible for assessments, groups, and other therapeutic program offerings as may be directed by the Treatment Manager. Patient populations served range in age from 12 years to 18 years on the adolescent unit, 19 to 54 on the adult unit, and 55 through the late stage of the life span on the geriatric unit. This position may have additional duties assigned that are within scope of the role.

Education / Experience: Bachelors degree in Therapeutic Recreation or allied field preferred. License / Certification: CTRS preferred, BLS required, additional certification (ACLS, PALS, NRP, Secure, etc) may be required depending upon area assigned Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: • Ability to cope with stressful/rapidly changing situations. • Good oral and written communication skills. • Ability to maintain a professional and customer centric composure in difficult or challenging situations. • Ability to work from broad directions and be self motivated. • Ability to prioritize workload to achieve maximum efficiency. • Ability to effectively communicate with people of various backgrounds throughout the organization. • Ability to provide a positive customer service experience to guest, visitors, and patients
