Position Overview:

The Principal Clinical Research Scientist is responsible for generating, analyzing, and communicating clinical evidence to support product development, regulatory submissions, and commercial growth. This individual combines strong data analysis and scientific writing skills with hands-on conference strategy and marketing activities. This role works closely with clinical operations, regulatory, marketing, R&D teams and external experts (physicians and key opinion leaders) to translate clinical data into publications, presentations, and marketing materials that drive adoption and support clinical decision-making.

What you'll do:

  • Own the full lifecycle of clinical evidence generation from gap analysis through literature review, study conception, protocol development, data collection and analysis, to manuscript authorship and publication in peer-reviewed journals.
  • Authoring and presenting scientific communications (abstracts, manuscripts, posters, presentations) for peer-reviewed and commercial audiences at scientific conferences and congresses.
  • Managing the clinical evidence library and publication pipeline, maintaining timelines and coordinating with Regulatory and Marketing on publication and presentation strategy.
  • Supporting regulatory submissions with clinical evidence and results from clinical trials (e.g. FDA 510(k)).
  • Contribute to the design of prospective and retrospective clinical studies on existing and future products, and interface with study investigators, KOL advisors, and internal teams (Data Science, Regulatory, Marketing, Product).
  • Maintaining strong relationships with clinical and scientific leaders (site investigators, principal investigators, KOL advisors) to advance study execution, analysis and results dissemination.
  • Developing and executing conference activities for major medical meetings, including abstract/presentation submissions, KOL engagement, and investigator coordination.
  • Work in close partnership with Marketing, Sales, and Go-to-Market teams to drive the development of clinical evidence summaries, infographics, and data visualizations, guaranteeing scientific integrity, data accuracy, and regulatory compliance.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned by your Manager/Supervisor

What We're Looking For:

  • PhD in Clinical Research, Engineering, Epidemiology, Biostatistics, Public Health, or related life science discipline
  • 5 + years of clinical research experience in the medical device or pharmaceutical industry
  • Proficiency in statistical analysis (R, Python, or equivalent)
  • Strong scientific writing and experience writing peer-reviewed journal articles
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and interpret clinical data
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to translate complex clinical data for diverse audiences (clinicians, regulators, commercial teams)
  • Preferred qualifications: 8+ years of clinical research experience in the medical device industry Neuroscience expertise Clinical trial or clinical data study design experience

Compensation Range

$168,000—$185,000 USD

A candidate’s final salary offer will be based on their skills, education, work location and experience, and thus it may differ from the posted range. Compensation may also include bonuses consistent with Ceribell’s corporate compensation plan. Note, the above description is not all-encompassing and Ceribell reserves the right to change or modify job duties and assignments at any time.
