Officer, FX Settlement

Join Citi's Global Markets Operations team as an FX Settlement Analyst, where you will play a key role in the accurate and timely settlement of foreign exchange transactions on behalf of one of the world's leading financial institutions. Working within a structured and collaborative operations environment, you will support the end-to-end lifecycle of FX trades — from confirmation through to settlement and reconciliation — contributing directly to the integrity of Citi's transaction processing function.

Responsibilities

• Verify FX trade bookings to confirm accuracy before settlement, identifying and resolving discrepancies at the point of entry.
• Generate and match trade confirmations against International Swaps and Derivatives Association (ISDA) templates to ensure contractual alignment between counterparties.
• Complete daily settlement tasks and rate revaluations within defined deadlines, maintaining operational accuracy across the trade lifecycle.
• Coordinate with internal departments to resolve transaction processing issues efficiently and deliver timely solutions.
• Perform account reconciliations, regulatory controls, and record retention activities in line with established operational policies.
• Prepare and submit periodic internal and external regulatory reports, supporting Citi's compliance and reporting obligations.
• Participate in General Ledger proofing exercises, ensuring financial records reflect accurate and up-to-date settlement data.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience in Business, Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• Understanding of Treasury products, accounting principles, and regulatory frameworks relevant to financial markets operations.
• Ability to manage multiple concurrent tasks accurately in a fast-paced, high-accountability environment.
• Working knowledge of macros to support operational efficiency and data processing tasks.
• Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively across teams.

Beneficial Skills & Qualifications

• Prior exposure to FX settlement, trade matching, or trade confirmation processes within a financial services environment.
• Familiarity with securities or derivatives operations, including post-trade workflows.
• Experience working within operations teams that support trading desks or transaction services functions.
