Team/Role Overview:

Middle Office Testing Manager will be responsible for managing cross-functional test phases and testing groups to develop and execute Securities Services Operations test strategies, related to system releases and upgrades, client change, client on-boarding and internal projects.

Role has responsibility for planning, design and control of the test execution.

Tasks throughout the project include; engaging the Middle Office partners from Product, Operations, Change and Technology to develop and obtain agreements for comprehensive end to end test coverage during requirements and planning phase, manage UAT entrance and exit processes, execution management for testing teams onsite and offshore, and senior management status reporting. Role also includes contribution to the development of new techniques, models and plans within area of expertise.

Project assignments will require candidates to have strong written and oral communications, analytical, technical attitude, proficient MS Office skills, and ability to influence within and across multiple business groups within Middle Office area. The candidate must have a background in financial markets or banking (preferably Middle Office for Funds industry).

What you’ll do:

• ​Planning, designing and executing end-to-end testing of applications and solutions, including plans and strategies across Middle Office projects
• Control, coordination and supervision of tests, in some cases conducting test cases
• Client facing: participation in client discussions and engaging appropriate Operations SME to facilitate solutions & testing with client; managing client testing end to end including appropriate reports
• Define end-to-end test plans, support test coverage design and work with Technology to secure environments for the testing lifecycle
• Create test documentation such as Test Approach, Test Runbook, Test Completion Report
• Manage traceability and test execution reporting incl. defect management
• Develop test capabilities and increase knowledge about the systems and theirs dependencies

What we’ll need from you:

• Significant experience in software testing environment in financial area, preferably in test planning/execution, coordination or management role
• Financial services/banking experience required
• Understanding of Systems Development Life Cycle processes
• Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
• Communication and diplomacy skills and an ability to persuade and influence
